I'm also pretty sure the producers said time travel was not involved in the show but, "time is different on the Island."

While it would seem plausable that they are in some type of time "loop" or time is different on the island.....They were pretty much dead on with how long the french lady's message had been looping for.

This coincided with the age of her child Alex. So if Alex has aged normally over the last 18 years, they may have a hard time explaining Richard not aging at all.

Interesting, but in tune with the rest of their theory I think they're overthinking the part about people dying after going back in time. Since the universe has a way of course correcting itself I don't think it'd let people die regardless of what happens to them, an arrow through the chest, a gunshot would to the stomach, etc.

Of course, that opens an entire Pandora's box about Locke.

The Q&A on that site has some serious holes though....

A: We don’t have enough evidence to suggest the exact person, however, I believe the person in the casket was (wait for it…) Sawyer! We know that in Jack’s flashforward, we are very close to September 22, 2004 – the time in which fate will likely kill the 6 survivors. The fact that Sawyer (one of the 6) dies, proves that fate will ultimately find a way to kill the remaining survivors. Notice that when Jack mentions the dead person to Kate, she quickly snaps back saying “why do I care?” Well, she only has character development with Sawyer and Jack – so why would she really be so defensive about “caring” for Ben, or any of the other possible people in the casket. My guess is that Kate loved Sawyer, but when they went back to the real world in 2001, Sawyer continued as a con man, and left Kate – therefore, she doesn’t care about him anymore.

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that Jack's cell phone model in the FF was manufactured in 2007 and the obit he reads has a 2007 date on the paper.

And then there is Walt. This sounds a lot like the purgatory angle people were thinking about.

I think this guy is pretty close in terms of the frame of the story...I am sure he is off on some details. One of the things that really supports his theory of Jack's "future" being in the past is when the head of surgery is giving him a hard time about being drunk and he says, "Let's go see how drunk my father is...if I'm drunker than him you can fire me." His dad died before the crash as Jack had gone to get his body...so obviously he has gone "back" in time.

Sawyer is still a con-man at heart and the offer Ben made him is still on the table. I could definately see Sawyer turning on the Losties at some point. It would be some karma for him to con the Losties for Ben, then Ben conning him, leading to his death. Kate's reaction to whose funeral it was still leads me to think it's Locke. Sawyer has pissed her off so many times in the past, yet she loves the guy. I just can't see her not caring for Sawyer whatsoever unless he pulled the ultimate con on them.

I'm so tired of saying this, but Jack's dad wasn't really upstairs in that scene. It was just an emotional reaction.

I'm down with the supernatural elements of Lost, but time travel and the "it was all a dream" theory wouldn't work for me. They're just too much of an cop out. I think the writers are better than that.

Yeah, there is no way those weren't flash forwards. He talks about his golden ticket from Oceanic airlines in there.

Jack didn't appear to be an alcoholic when he landed on the island. So even his wife leaving him didn't force him to spin out of control like he is now. These are definitely all flashforwards, but they are not in order.

But there is an interesting question..........

If they landed on the island in 2004, and they have been on the island 91 days so far, assuming Jack makes it off the island relatively soon, then there is a few years unaccounted for. I think that would be about right. Its taken Jack about 2 or 3 years to completely lose it. He still seemed relatively stable when he visited Hurley at the institution, although, he had already started drinking. So given that, there will be alot of story still left to be told.

Can we confirm the date of the plane crash and the date of the discovery of the plane at the bottom of the ocean and the date on the obituary.....There may be a significant clue there.

Time travel I could deal with if they can properly link all storyline elements, but the whole "dream" thing would really piss me off.

Ah...well, back to square one I guess. I honestly don't listen to or follow any of the podcast/websites for this show as I don't want to view it through "tainted" glasses. This theory is the first one I've looked at and it seems interesting...although I do wonder how Alex has aged normally.

Sorry man, didn't mean that to sound personal, it's not you, but I have probably said it 5+ times in this thread alone. I'm not gonna act like I'm somehow smarter because I'm more into LOST than you like some people seem to do on the internet.
