Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
I don't think anything happened to Claire. She's probably still on the island. I think Kate stole the baby and told their rescuers that it was her baby. That way the 6 wouldn't have to deal with the ?'s about Claire.
That's why Jack didn't want to see the baby. He knows Kate stole it, and doesn't want any part of it. Maybe the thing that makes him flip out wanting to go back to the island is finding out Claire is his step sister. He can't bring himself to keep his step sister away from her daughter.
Kate is only looking out for #1 and wants no part of going back to the island. Sayid, Hurley, and Jack have all had thoughts about going back to the island. Kate hasn't. That seem kind of weird to anyone else?
Just another crazy theory I'm throwing out there.Comment

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
The only reason I can have for Kate stealing Aaron is because she thought it would help her stay out of jail. However, stealing Aaron out of Claire's arms while everyone else watched seems extremely out of character for guys like Hurley, Sayid, and Jack. Why would they just watch this happen?
I want to believe there's something sinister about it, though, because it seems too easy for it to just be that Kate is caring for Aaron. Why not just have Claire come with them?
Nah, there's something to it. And whatever that is is probably why Jack doesn't want to see the kid. He knows that Kate's caring for the child has a lot to do with the lies they are making.
The flashforward is definitely before Jack goes nuts and wants to go back to the Island. You guys are over-thinking it if you think it's after. The beard and Jack being a drunk are the two keys to knowing when Jack's flashforwards occur.
Sayid's flashforward is also explained. Sayid is protecting his friends both on and off the Island. They are trying to stop people from uncovering the truth of what happened the day the Oceanic 6 were rescued. The only thing we don't know is why they need to keep it a secret so badly.
As for 8 survivors. There's no need for any of them to have died. The other two could very well be Michael and Walt. Since they are assumed off the Island we can attach them as being the other survivors. But that's just a guess because that doesn't explain why it wouldn't be Oceanic 8 with 6 others being saved later.
I'm also going to guess that Aaron was kept a secret. He's young enough (right now) for someone to pretend he was born a year later.
Another pretty big clue is Aaron's age. He looked to be about two years old or so. Whatever it is, he's definitely not just a few months older than his current age on the Island."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Kate's mother was talking about how she had been given 6 months to live for the past four years, ever since Oceanic 815 went missing.Comment

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
With the whole time issue, I still wouldn't be surprised if those that returned discover that a few years passed by while they were spending 3 months on the Island."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. I wouldn't be surprised if Claire gets killed off, she has less use on the show than Kate."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
I forsee some sort of situation where kate is leaving the island and for whatever reason claire can't leave the island. So claire gives the baby to kate to take off the island. Maybe claire will die if she leaves the islandComment

I still don't think that fully explains why Jack is so against (scared of) seeing Aaron.Comment

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
Kate was awful quick to take that Plea deal for the probation and they made a point of saying she couldn't leave the state. I don't think she wants anything to do with going back to the island or anywhere. She's perfectly happy being tied down where she's at. So she takes the deal so Jack can't coerce her to go anywhere.
How she gets Aaron will be revealed, but I'm pretty sure it involves Claire dying.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
I think at the point that Jack was at the parking ramp behind the courthouse with Kate, he was still trying to believe his lie was true. Aaron most likely brings back hard reminders of the island that don't coincide with his lie he's trying to live.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment
