channel 9300 and 9301 are test channels right now. National Geographic and Discovery Channel.

Cool these channels I am getting and 498 is finally coming in! Wahoo!

Maybe Im completely blind but I dont see how to do that on the website. If you could tell me where to find this I would be grateful. Sorry for so many questions, Ive never had Directv and am not that familiar with how things work with them.

I've never done it, but when you sign in on the right side of the page are some buttons, try either the programming or system tabs. You can call them and it should only take a minute or 2 to do it.


I'll have to wait to verify that I'm getting the channels since the sling won't work from work, but I should since I have 498

Thanks, Directv came out and somehow it was my receiver, not sure how it happened but it did and now its working. Got A&E on 9300 and 9301 is the Discovery Channel, Sopranos doesnt look to bad on A&E HD, cant wait for the channels to finally go live.

On a side note, the tech who came out today mentioned something about the first week of October, personally I hope not but at this point Im not so sure if anyone knows whats going on.

Looks like NFL Network is on 9300 right now and Discovery HD is 9301

How do you get 9300 and 9301 to come up? When I type it into the keypad on the remote, it sends me to another channel.

All the other channels work perfectly. 498, 480, and 481 are up and running.

I had to set the favorites to "all channels" in order to get 9300 & 9301 to work.

What sucks is that a lot of these channels have the same number as their Non HD equivalent. If I press 206 I will get the non HD ESPN so I have to select it from the menu. I wish they gave them their own channel numbers.

Man this is sweet. They are still testing on 9300-01, one channel was an infomercial the other had a big NHL logo.

and this is just the first wave ! Expect a ton more in the next few months.


Only issue I am having is when I input the channel, it goes to the SD channel first, then I have to press channel up button. Hopefully they will fix this, it is supposed to go to the HD channel first.

if you have the hr-20s ( the dvr's) it will default to hd instead of sd, but with the regular h20(non dvr) it is currently defaulting to sd instead of hd. The assumption is they will roll out a fix for this so it defaults to hd if you have an hd receiver.
