Well, before I sent you anything I was trying to make sure that it's completely problem free and won't give you problems with AT&T.

That software installs summerboard and everything.

I do SSH, telnet-ing, coding, etc for work, but it was much easier to let this script do everything, only rebooting the ipod when it told me to. I'm lazy

*edit* I don't think you can yet, but it's all pretty sweet!

Where'd you find the mail app? haven't seen that anywhere in the installer (and I have the community sources added)

You have to find it online... I can't post the link here for obvious reasons.

I put the Mail program, Weather, Maps and Notes applications from the iPhone on my iPod touch.

I even combined my Music and Videos into one program exactly like the iPhone's setup. Saves me an icon on my "iPod Desktop."

Gotcha...don't have time now but i'll look into all the indepth tweaking over the week.

What sucks is if Apple releases a cool update i'll have to do all this again.

What problem did you have? You have to pull the video files off of most DVD's first as they are "protected."

Download DVD Decrypter, run it, save the "VOB files" off of the disk onto your computer somewhere. That should take about 15 minutes (I think). Then, open up handbrake, browse for the vob files (wherever you saved them) and then run. Use the iPhone pre-set setting to get the best visual impact for the iPod touch.

Yeah, but what I found is a program (I forget the name) that can run in the background and automatically deal with the protection (this is all legal because you own the DVD). It scans your dvd drives and will work as needed. I only have it running when I'm ripping to iPod, but I'll look and let you guys know.

Yea I think this is my problem I didnt use DVD decrypter. I was under the (wrong) impression that handbrake could do everything for me. I'll give it another go tonight. Hopefully mgoblue can send me what he has and its an easy process. I'm using an old Ipod video for all of this.

Once I'm done cant I put the same mp4 file on my psp as well?

I have something I think called AnyDVD that works for me...I'll see how big the zip is but should be able to send...it's been a month or so since i was figuring all this out so I kinda forgot the details.
