Can't say I enjoyed the movie. I went into it with high expectations and came away severely disappointed.

No idea who any of the people in it are, but it looks like a good movie. My wife really wants to see it, so we'll probably see it tomorrow. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Holy crap! I like Arrested Development and really enjoyed Juno, but reading this thread even some of the most level-headed posters are getting crazy hard-ons for Cera and Page like they are Pacino and Julia Roberts or something. Cera's funny, Page has potential but is raw. Neither should win an award with this role.

Also, Cera was in the movie for about 15 minutes.

I don't mean to poop on the parade, I really enjoyed those two young actors and the movie was one of the favorites of the year (of about 15 movies I saw), but you guys might need to put this movie in perspective and slowdown the insane lovefest.

But J.K. Simmons, now that man was funny as hell!

Ha, you included in just about 90% of the posters in this thread. I mean you really thought 15 minutes of Cera was worth 10 bucks?

same here Pared.. took my g/f tonight and caught myself falling asleep at times during the movie.. it was OK but nothing more (although having JG in the flick helped

)

Hmm, I think your assessment of the thread is a little off. Most seemed to have enjoyed the film, but nobody was hailing it as anything classic. Nobody was crowning Page nor Cera, just pointing out how enjoyable they are on the screen.

I watched the film for the second time last night with other friends and it got me thinking how Page's career would evolve as she gets older. I don't know how I'd feel if she was in any other roles besides the witty/quirky one of Juno's.

They certainly did not glorify teen pregnancy. I would say however, that they trivialized her decision to keep the pregnancy to term- not saying that a comedy's role is to explore that particular decision, but I thought they would go a little deeper into the decision.

It was just an o-k, enjoyable movie... and I was expecting a really, really good film.

Perhaps. Just felt pretty overrated on the boards. Still a good, enjoyable movie.

Well, I don't know how old you are, but sometimes I just have a crush with the person on screen. I know Juno was 16, but Ellen Page is 20, and as a 19 year old, I just like watching her all the time. To me, it's just adorable. Perhaps that helped a bit in my book, I'm not sure.

I don't think I even did that when I was 13, let alone when I was older.

The film was brilliant. It was funny, it was sad, and it was bizarre. Great, great movie. One of the best I've seen this year.
