The only movie I ever fell asleep on in the theater is Godfather 3, it was very boring. I'm usually very selective about what movies I see in the theater, but a friend of mine wanted to see it.

The Thin Red Line and American Beauty are the two worst movies I've paid money to see.

The absolute biggest waste of time in possibly my entire life was watching the movie "Creep". It's made by Troma films (who are known for their intentionally bad and/or completely gore-filled horror movies), but it has none of the usual elements of a movie. The story is so convoluted, I hated all of the characters (my hot-headed friend was actually yelling at the TV, trying to encourage one of the characters to just kill himself), and it didn't even have any gore. It was literally the most pointless, inane, meandering, nonsensical 2+ hours of my life. Seemed like it would never end -- it was probably around 90 minutes, but it felt like watching Roots straight through or something because it was so excruciating.

I will say that I really liked War of the Worlds and American Beauty (own that one on DVD). Why didn't you like American Beauty Skerik? The scene where Spacey quits his job was hilarious. Certainly a darker, wierd take on suburban life but a great movie imo.Comment

Harsh! I must admit, this movie doesn't belong in the Ocean's franchise, and Ocean's Thirteen saved this franchise from becoming a disaster compared to the original. But the movie was still very stylish and had its moments of comedic dialogue and the way loose ends tie together. Good movie... just wasn't an "Ocean's" movie.
However, I didn't like Soderbergh's directing in this movie (didn't like it too much in 13 either, but it was much better).

"War Of The Worlds" was a sleeper movie for me-I initially didn't like, saw it again with relatives, liked it, and even saw it again on cable. "Epic Movie" was terrible, but not as bad as the much hyped "Superman Returns" which bored me to tears (almost literally).
American Beauty=OVERRATED-wasn't terrible, just don't know what the fuss was about.Comment

Thin Red Line is a classic by Terrence Malick. He was nominated for Best Screenplay and Best Director. It's one of the best war films ever made because it takes a unique psychological approach about the ugliness of war. It's not your standard "Americans are the heroes" war film. There is no triumph in war, and Thin Red Line captures that like no film ever has.I'm only going to include movies that I've seen at the theatre.
