Re: What is the worst movie you've ever seen?
If you didn't like it, you didn't like it. That's your opinion. But to consider it one of the 5 worst movies ever is a little preposterous, no?It was hardly a classic. The actors and roles in that movie were so stereotyped it was pathetic. Nick Nolte was the screaming sargeant. One other guy played the bleeding hearted seargent. The scene alone where the commander won't tell his men to take the hill because he cares too much for his men only to have Nick Nolte show up 10 minutes later, say the coast is clear and then its ok to go was terrible.
To question my intelligence just tells me you are a jerk and can't respect other people's opinions. I also saw this movie with my friend who graduated with an Honours degree in History and he didn't like it either. If I told you I graduated at the top of my class in Mathematics and Statistics would that change your opinion? We both left the film early. I don't care what it was nominated for, I thought it was a lousy movie. If you don't agree with my opinion that's fine but don't play the IQ card. I thought Pearl Harbour was a lousy movie as well. Want to take any other shots?
I didn't mean to question your intelligence, but Thin Red Line is revered by film critics. (Not to say their opinion is the end-all-be-all of film opinions, but I'm sure critics all wouldn't love a film that's one of the worst 5 ever made, either.)
What would you think of me if I said "In my opinion, Albert Einstein was an idiot"? That's off-base, and I think calling TRL one of the worst 5 films ever is almost as equally off-base.
Now let me list the 5 worst movie's I've ever seen:
Freddy Got Fingered
My Baby's Daddy
Showgirls
Street Fighter
Super Mario Bros.Comment

Re: What is the worst movie you've ever seen?
I'm completely surprised by American Beauty (one of the better movies of our generation) and Goonies being selected as "Worst Movie." It really is shocking.
I loved Undercover Brother - really stupid, but pretty funny. "You mess wit da fro, you got to go!" lol
My votes are:
He said, She said (I thought it was a pointless movie)
A History of Violence (why was that movie made again?)
Devil's Rejects (terrible story and not well thought out)Last edited by sbmnky; 10-09-2007, 03:05 PM.Comment

I wouldn't say Thin Red Line was necessarily a bad movie, but it was extremely boring. There were 10 minute nature shots where nothing was happening that really slowed the movie down.Comment

My parents saw it in the theater to just to see if it was as bad as everyone made it out to be.Comment

Spiderman 3...i know, big movie but man this movie was LAME. I almost walked out of the theatre. Love the first two...go figure.
Pay it Forward...Dumb movie, that kid annoys me too.
One of the Star Trek movies....I tried to erase it from my memory it was so bad.
Couple others but thats all I can think of.XBOX Live: VictimizationComment

Gods and Generals - Walked out of and I love the Civil War.
English Patient - Had the same reaction as Elaine on Seinfeld ("Just Die")
Matrix 3 - Should have known it was bad when there were 10 people in the theater....
Godfather 3 - Opening night which was Christmas Eve. After watching the first 2 that day, just sat there horrified at how bad it was.Comment

Re: What is the worst movie you've ever seen?
I think I know which one. If I bring back unpleasant memories sorry

Seriously, looking for God, in a Star Trek movie?! Oye
Timeline was so bad I turned it off after 10 minutes. It was the biggest waste of time and I feel so bad for renting it.
Oh and why so much hate for A.I.? I liked that movie a lot. Yes, it was slow in some spots but I thought it was thought provoking. The thing that kills that movie for me was that Spielberg couldn't stick with one ending. I swear there were like 3 or 4 different endings tacked on to the movie!Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
