Re: What is the worst movie you've ever seen?
It was hardly a classic. The actors and roles in that movie were so stereotyped it was pathetic. Nick Nolte was the screaming sargeant. One other guy played the bleeding hearted seargent. The scene alone where the commander won't tell his men to take the hill because he cares too much for his men only to have Nick Nolte show up 10 minutes later, say the coast is clear and then its ok to go was terrible.Thin Red Line is a classic by Terrence Malick. He was nominated for Best Screenplay and Best Director. It's one of the best war films ever made because it takes a unique psychological approach about the ugliness of war. It's not your standard "Americans are the heroes" war film. There is no triumph in war, and Thin Red Line captures that like no film ever has.
Anyone who considers this one of the worst films they've ever seen really sheds light on his/her intelligence. I'm sorry.
To question my intelligence just tells me you are a jerk and can't respect other people's opinions. I also saw this movie with my friend who graduated with an Honours degree in History and he didn't like it either. If I told you I graduated at the top of my class in Mathematics and Statistics would that change your opinion? We both left the film early. I don't care what it was nominated for, I thought it was a lousy movie. If you don't agree with my opinion that's fine but don't play the IQ card. I thought Pearl Harbour was a lousy movie as well. Want to take any other shots?Comment

I 100% agree, that movie was very intelligent and well made. I also loved American Beauty.Thin Red Line is a classic by Terrence Malick. He was nominated for Best Screenplay and Best Director. Re: What is the worst movie you've ever seen?
I forgot about Superman, what a boring *** movie."War Of The Worlds" was a sleeper movie for me-I initially didn't like, saw it again with relatives, liked it, and even saw it again on cable. "Epic Movie" was terrible, but not as bad as the much hyped "Superman Returns" which bored me to tears (almost literally).
American Beauty=OVERRATED-wasn't terrible, just don't know what the fuss was about.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: What is the worst movie you've ever seen?
Ladies and gentlemen, Roger Ebert. Sorry Roger, but I've seen plenty of war films, have read plenty of war books, and know enough about the genre to know that the Thin Red Line was cinematic toilet water of the highest order. I'm happy you liked it though.Thin Red Line is a classic by Terrence Malick. He was nominated for Best Screenplay and Best Director. Also, there is triumph in war. Obviously you've never seen "Where Eagles Dare" with Clint Eastwood.Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.

I'd have to say Gods and Generals was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I loved Gettysburg but this one was just awful.Comment

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: What is the worst movie you've ever seen?
You sure it wasn't because you were like 5 when the movie came out?
However, the movie was still bad.
The worst movie I have ever seen was some Katie Holmes movie that I didn't know the title too. It had her being stalked or something throughout the movie by a murderer or gardener, or something. Anyways, cut to the end there was no stalking garbage man, it turns out Katie Holmes was it.
Go **** yourself on Neptune, Katie Holmes.
Edit: the movie was Abandon, as in I wish my mom had abanoned me behind a dumpster as a kid so I would have never seen this movie.Comment
