There is evidence of life in this solar system and until some other civilization contacts us, you'll be waiting a long time for any definitive proof, unless we find wormholes or other ways of travelling through vast amounts of space very fast.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

valid point, but it's an effect of how NASA is funded. They had a blank check back in the 60's, it was important to the US people, and they did some great stuff. Now they have to reuse shuttles, and they are getting outdated. They are a horrible idea for space travel, which is why they explode and have cracks and all sorts of other stuff.

If you actually see some of the ideas for the next moon mission, they're just reusing tons of the same style technology we used in the 60's to land on the moon. We won't even go back until like 2019, when it took years to get there the first time. That just shows how we've wasted 40 years in space travel progression.

What are you talking about? I said that people who don't believe that there is life elsewhere in the universe are a bit naive. If you are talking about when I said "you" I wasn't talking about you specifically, I was using "you" in a general sense.

              Thanks for the convo jmood.

              let's move on.

Those pics don't prove anything, and honestly, is it really a mystery NASA hides things from us?

Makes you wonder what the Russians know doesn't it?

hmm, well I figure Armstrong or Aldrin would have said something by now if they found anything. It'd be hard to sit on a secret like that... Plus while I may be naive, I just can't see how there are any other civilizations out there that are as advanced as us. In the history of mankind, you would have to imagine if there was something out there in our solar system, we'd have concrete evidence by now.

Why would we and who's to say that we don't have evidence already that has been covered up? The universe is huge, i wouldn't be surprised if we never found other civilizations even if we knew for certain that they were out there.

lol, why? any space capable nation with a satellite could take a similar picture. To assume that the chinese, russians, japanese, and european countries would all band together to hide to same incriminating evidence is laughable. That's not even counting the non governmental corporations with large telescopes on earth and imaging satellites in space going along as well. Or the thousands of employees from all these groups that certainly would have been exposed to something like this if true.

If there really were ancient temples or artifacts on the moon, we'd have seen or heard about it by now. All we have now is a small clip of info about a fired NASA employee having the dirt that was supposed to happen this morning. It's not really encouraging when you then hear nothing about it starting at 9:01.

Yeah because obviously we are the only planet that has a civilization and the other 98773647583656738382647837346473238 planets out there are just dead rocks. [/sarcasm]

lets read my post again... I think the part about "our solar system" is pretty clear don't you? And if galaxies and solar systems aren't the same thing, then I miss spoke but you get the point.

btw, don't mess with former astronauts....

as far as we know they are. If there were more advanced civilizations nearby, we would be picking up signals from awhile ago, like out tv and radio signals fly out to space for infinity.
