Man, that sucks. I already downloaded the program for tagging, now I have to download another one for converting videos. Btw, where do I get that program?

Is it true that .mp4's are smaller than .avi's? If converting the files means that I can conserve some space, then it may not be that bad.

Most mp4s are smaller. It sucks but you would have to convert them if you were buying an ipod also. Creative and a few smaller companies are the only ones that support AVIs

I didn't know that about Creative. I have a question. I downloaded that software you recommended. When converting, they ask what device I am converting for. What would be the I-Pod equivalent of the 80 GB Zune, or does it even matter.

I also recommend MP3tag if you need to re-tag any of your songs.

I dont think it matters. My videora conversion settings are the same as they were when I had an ipod (I have an 80 now).

Okay, I'm having a big problem. For some reason, the software is not installing correctly (PC, Windows XP). When I launch it, the software picture is scrambled, and I can't read anything. Any suggestions?

Yeah, but after not touching anything for awhile I had a message ask if I could view the window and I said "no", then it told me I have to update my video card or something. So far, things are going smoothly, I'm trying to put all of my music on the player. Which will probably take a VERY long time.

By the way, I put syncing on manual, I chose the artists/albums I wanted to sync and clicked and dragged them myself. Now if I delete the music folders on my computer later, will it delete the folders off my Zune when I hook it up later?

It shouldn't, because you have manual Zune, so you choose what you want to be on the Zune.

But this past weekend, I formatted my Zune and cleaned up all my music files that I had. One problem is that I had songs in multiple folders, so I went through and fixed those + re-tagged song of my songs. Then I put the songs back on my Zune.

What does it mean to "tag" a song?

When you tag a song, you are embeddeding information in audio files information such as Artist, Title, Album, Release Date, and Genre.

i used it when I had a 30gb iPod a few years back. i just downloaded it again and they seemed to have idiot proofed it as it tells you exactly what to do. i'm trying to convert a superbad file that I downloaded. we'll see how it goes.

Ok this MP3Tag program is pissing the living **** out of me. Is there a way to prevent the damn thing from launching the song I'm editing into the media player each time?
