You just proved my point. None of those beefs directly involved him. In 5 seasons, youve never heard of him having to go to war. Also, he didnt perpetuate Omar v. Avon. All I remember Prop Joe doing in that beef was exchanging information for Omar's newly stolen package.

But forget all that, waiting for episodes to come onto On Demand sucks.
And the wait is over!Last edited by Cebby; 01-21-2008, 01:15 AM.Comment

DAAAAMN!
SpoilerThats crazy how the conversation leading up to this episode was about how Prop Joe had survived and prospered throughout the series. I didn't see it coming UNTIL he kept helping Marlo out AFTER he said he was gonna lay low for a while. I figured if it were really true, then we the viewers wouldn't get to see him leave, he'd just disappear. That was a crazy scene though. Excellent episode overall. It's gonna be really hard not to spoil myself by downloading the next few episodes this week.Last edited by trobinson97; 01-21-2008, 05:18 AM.PS: You guys are great.

SpoilerIt'll be interesting to see how Marlo carries everything now.
Since he has all the muscle, I really can't see him continuing the coop, but on the other hand, the Greek wouldn't have okayed it if it meant cutting their sales in half.
I think I'm going to torrent them, but only watch them on Sundays. School will start again next week so I can't watch them until Thursdays, and I know some idiot will attempt to spoil it.
I also want to see what happens with Slim. The man killed like, a 13 year old runner in season 3 and then later wanted to kill Marlo, Chris, Snoop, and Vinson by himself, so he obviously doesn't give a ****, but on the other hand, I doubt he gave a damn about Prop Joe either.Last edited by Cebby; 01-21-2008, 01:36 PM.Comment

Re: The Wire-Season 5
I really really hate that my area does not have On Demand. It's freakin Phoenix, one of the biggest cities in US and we can't get ON DEMAND WTF!! I'm always a week behind you guys, I wonder if I can find the one you guys just saw online.Comment

Re: The Wire-Season 5
It is on the internet but the quality is ****ty. This sucks that we got rid of Time Warner right before the new season started so I can't watch it on demand anymore.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: The Wire-Season 5
DAMN! What a riveting episode 4.
SpoilerMarlo lost his damn mind, but Omar got the cure for it.
Sad to see Prop Joe catch one in the dome, but every dog has his day.
About Daniels, It's going to be fun watching him fight Burrell. Burrell got dirt on Daniels that I could see him start dishing out as soon as he learns he got played by the Councilwoman. It's good to see the story get tied back to the first season with Daniels and his drug money seizures.
P.S. What Herc is doing to that piece of sh888 cop serves him right!Last edited by Mr.Burns; 01-22-2008, 12:32 AM.Cost of Super Bowl XLII ticket -$750

Episode 4 discussion below.
SpoilerLOL, I guess Prop Joe isn't as smart as we all thought he was. I'll give him credit though, he walked that tightrope between the Greeks and the co-op for a long time with a lot of success before he bought the farm. What a powerful scene where Marlo and Chris put him down. I was also glad to see Omar let Slim Charles walk....Omar's a bad dude no question, but he respects the game and honors the way it works.
I also really like the way they've developed Carver. During the early seasons, he and Herc were basically knuckleheads, but Carver has really become a class act and, as Lester would say, "good police." Herc is still a knucklehead, but at least he's a loyal knucklehead.
Prop Joe out of the picture, Omar coming back at Marlo....if he takes out Marlo, who's left standing to run things? Slim Charles taking over for Prop Joe and resurrecting the co-op? Someone else?Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.
Dash: [muttering] Which is another way of saying no one is.Comment

I know they are still relatively young, and a lot of it is my wishful thinking, but I see them as another version of Avon and Stringer.PS: You guys are great.

Re: The Wire-Season 5
I've watched up to episode 6 and it's getting VERY VERY VERY interesting to say the least.
SpoilerProp Joe dying caught me WAAAYYYY of guard.. I didn't know Marlo would do that so soon... and am I the only one a little pissed off at how Lester/Lusidner (sp?)/McNulty are building their case against Marlo?http://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis

Re: The Wire-Season 5
Episode 4, none of that 6 nonsense
SpoilerI think Marlo would have to run it, but more in a "take my package or step off" thing. I don't see the Greeks cutting their sales in half. If they thought Marlo would do that, Marlo would be sitting around with no hands or face.
I think Slim will just muscle up with someone. He isn't all that loyal, but he saw what Marlo did to Kevin and Andre directly and I'm sure heard about Bodie, so I can't see him with Marlo.Comment
