The sequel is one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time.

No reason for me not to get Chronicle or Sherlock Holmes 2 at those prices, both which I thought were very serviceable. I already own MI:GP, and it's been past 45 days so I can't price match it. Oh well.

What's the word on Chronicle? I hear it's pretty good. For that price I just might jump on it

I guess "serviceable" wasn't the right trigger word, eh?

Here were my impressions about it in the movies seen thread:

Very well done, and a nice fresh take on the "found footage" genre of films. The acting was very solid, and the characters were nicely developed. For a $15 million budget, the inconsistency from good SFX to poor SFX was a little forgiving, but it makes you wish they could have had a bigger budget to iron some of these things out. I can see a sequel being possible, but if it comes out, it will have to be sooner than later. It's not one of those films which should become an enshrined legacy where you have to wait four years for the next one to come out.

I think most people here would like it, even if you're not a fan of "first person camera" movies. Like I said, it uses concepts that gives it a fresh enough take where it almost become a merger between POV shots and regular filming techniques.

Might have to stop by Best Buy this week. Would probably pick up Chronicle and Holmes 2, especially for that price.

The Piranha steelbook is pretty awesome:

Can't really see the grindhousey tint in the pic.

I already have the regular one though.

While picking up MI: GP noticed that all 3 Spiderman movies are $11.99-12.99 and come with $10 ecash for The Amazing Spiderman.

Picked up the only one I was missing from the trilogy...Spidey 2.

Ouch, that's the best of them IMO.

Got Chronicle and Sherlock Holmes 2, then I realized it would be incomplete without getting the first Sherlock Holmes which was $14.99, so I got that as well.

Wanted to pull the trigger on Chronicle, actually had it in my hand. Put it back though because I wasn't a big fan of the last 30 min.

I'll probably pick it up at some point since I enjoyed most of the movie.

Only select blus, no promo code needed. Shipping is still 96 cents per item so it's $7 a movie.

Pretty good selection. 9 pages with approx. 28 titles per page to choose from (some repeats)

                        Notables (IMHO):
                        Kung Fu Panda 2
                        Tower Heist
                        Toy Story 3
                        Pirates: Stranger Tides
                        30 Minutes or Less

The Smurfs 3D (cheap 3D movie for the kids)

I went ahead and picked up Tower Heist, Takers and Kung Fu Panda 2.

Did you mean blu or DVD? I can't vouch for their DVDs because I wouldn't buy used DVDs...too easily scratched especially older ones. Used Newer releases should be fine. Wouldn't touch a PV--you know how people treat rentals.

Blu rays are a different story because of the scratch resistant coating. These are in very good condition. I'd guess that probably a third of my collection is used/PV blu rays from gohasting.

Note: Just like Blockbuster, the PVs will have that center ring barcode sticker. It usually comes off just fine with no residue, but not always.
