Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
I'm sure a lot of you got some blu rays from Christmas. I just got Dexter season 1-3, which I'm really excited to start and I just got Band of Brothers which I'm currently watching.
I can't believe I missed out on Band of Brothers, what a great mini series. The sound is off the charts and it has pretty much been a crazy battle every episode. The acting and cinematography is top notch and I feel it pays homage to the soldiers from Easy company.Comment

A good haul for me:
Star Trek season 1
Chocolate
Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs
Sleeping Beauty
Pinocchio
Wall-E
Casablanca
So far I've only watched Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, but it looked amazing. I've also been watching LOST.

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
They have a deal where you pre-order Toy Story 1 & 2 on Amazon and you get 10.00 off if you pre-order them on the same transaction. If you do this then it brings it down to 39.98 for both which doesnt seem bad since Disney tends to overprice their catalog movies from what Ive seen atleast.
EDIT- I searched all over amazon and couldnt find the answer. Does Amazon charge your card when you place the order or when the pre-order ships? Toy Story 1 & 2 arent out until March so ordering to save money today wont cost me anything if they arent charging me today for that order. Thanks in advance.Last edited by The Chef; 01-17-2010, 06:16 PM.Comment

I saw that deal earlier today thanks to bluray.com and had to take advantage of it. I love Amazon's preorder price guarantee.

I don't remember buying a dvd anywhere but amazon. I love getting the dvd the day it comes out, no tax and is majority the time cheaper than anywhere else.
Just ordered Hurt Locker and Moon after reading the comments from the board. Can't wait to see Hurt Locker.Comment

Do you have to have Prime to get it on release day or even if you go with standard shipping it will still get there on release day? Im using a Prime trial membership so I have no way of knowing.Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
Yes I have prime. I split it between my bro and roommate, so it goes a long way throughout the year.Comment

No, my question was, once my Prime trial membership expires do I have to pay for 2 day shipping to get my pre-orders on release day or can I go with the free standard shipping and still get it on release day?Comment
