I complained about this last year when in Canada we got it earlier than the US and I thought it might have been the CDN version only. I thought I was imaging it but it turned me off enough that I traded in a movie I loved and sounded and looked 5 star except for the incessant hissing noise which made me think was my system. This was the bare bones copy. They've since released a special edition BR with lots of extra features, is that the one you have? I hope not because I was about to get it thinking they fixed that at the very least for the double dip BR.

I got mine from INetVideo.com and not surprisingly has a bunch of French wording next to the English. I'm guessing I have the Canadian version then. Maybe that's why.

So yeah, maybe the US version doesn't have that. I might trade this one in then.

You definitely got the CDN version. I paid $10 for it a while back.

It should be one of the best blu-rays to this point. Blu-ray.com's review gives every single aspect of it 5 stars: movie, video, audio, and supplements.

It's my favorite movie this year and I've been looking forward to the Blu Ray more than anything other than Mass Effect 2.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Amazon has a Pixar blu ray sale. For 36.xx you get Cars, Up and Monster, Inc. There's a promo code

Or $26.xx for just Up and Monster, Inc. Different promo code

That's the best prices I'v seen on these

Also, Wedding Crashers is $10 right now on Amazon

Yeah I jumped on the Cars/Monsters Inc./Up deal. It's an amazing price for these three movies.

I'm still just trying to find a way to score only UP for $15 or less.

It's only $20 at Wal-Mart, is the extra $5 really that big of a deal?

Eh, yes and no. I always look at it as "Where is the line drawn, then?" Because I figure if I accept this now, what's so wrong with another $5 extra on something that I'm looking for a price reduction on? That $5 could go toward a mighty fine Subway sandwich... or toward my next Blu-ray purchase.

Or where should I stop? Is $10 extra that big of a deal? I hope you know what I'm saying. It's 33% more that's the thing, not that it's $5 more. I made the same argument in my little McDonald's rant about them raising the price of a double cheeseburger 20 cents.
