Definitely not. I despise the third movie, the animated movie was only okay (or less than), and the collector's edition comes in a crappy large pizza box instead of Blu-ray cases. It's kind of weird that they decided on that.

Yeah, seems like what they do. But I may get at least Slumdog Millionaire and The Descent along with a third movie, still don't know which one. Heck, even Quantum of Solace is only $20.49. You can find some okay movies on there if you browse through all 13 pages carefully.

are HD-DVD's pretty much worthless as far as re-sale value? I have some I need to get rid of.

The Descent is one of the Walmart $10 titles.

Others include: Never Back Down, Universal Soldier, Condemned, Reservoir Dogs, Crash, Unforgiven, Young Guns, The Punisher, Saw 2 and 3, etc.

I passed on this amazon sale though. They are basically forcing you to buy 3 (1 is "free") in order to get a decent price. I'll just wait til after the sale to get the normal pricing back for single titles.

Oh yeah, I forgot it was $10 there. D'oh!

I also forgot I was holding off until I could verify getting the VC-1 encode so it's not DNR'ed.

Pretty much. That ship has sailed. Most go for around $5 unless they are rare titles like Bonnie and Clyde, Appleseed Ex Machina or imports.

If they're a WB title, can't you send them to WB and get a blu ray for $5 or something? I thought I heard that somewhere.

Did anyone end up seeing Pride & Glory? It was only $14.99 at F.Y.E. and I was wondering if a blind buy would be in order for this.

I vaguely remembering that when it came out and it didn't look very interesting from the trailers. It scored low on RT, IIRC.

I thought it was a pretty decent movie. Personally I wouldn't spend 15 bucks for it, but it's a good rental.

Correct. Is the WB red2blu promotion. I believe it runs out in December. If it's on the list, you send in only the cover (keep the HD-DVD and case) along with $4.95 (some movies, boxsets are more) plus flat shipping cost of $6.95

So best to get it all in one shot to avoid paying shipping cost twice.

I traded in about 25 titles for $100. Made all of my money back by selling the 2 expensive blu ray sets (Matrix trilogy, Planet Earth boxset) and just keeping the HD-DVD versions minus the covers.

I thought the movie itself was OK, but the bluray transfer didn't turn out very good. It's noticeably fuzzy in spots, especially night scenes. Thought I was watching standard DVD.
Plus, I had to keep turning the volume up and down because the dialogue was so soft and then the action scenes would be too loud.
