Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
Picked up my copy of Star Trek earlier today and got a chance to see it. WOW!!! The movie itself is so great, that it makes the blu ray experience even better. This is a must watch again and will probably do so the next couple of days lol.Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
OK I get the Star Trek SE from a Best buy promotion where they include a small replica of the ship (looked kinda cool and it was the same sale price as the regular BR so what the hey) which you have to assemble and can put 2 discs in the round part of the ship that snaps in and out of place to open.
I asked the Best buy employee that there must be an actual jewel case for the movie itself inside and of course he says yes. Like he even knows but I assumed so anyways. It was in a bigger boxed case so there's room for it.
Anyhow I get home and put together the ship which was actaully pretty solid and simple to do and can stand up in a bookcase and looks pretty good. Then I open the rest of the box and no jewel case, just the digital copy bouncing around in there.
So to watch the movie I have to snap open the top of the ship to access either disc (1 on top and 1 on the bottom) but you have to be careful if you snap it open too fast because the disc might go flying out.
So now my Star Trek movie and 2nd disc is encased in the starship Enterprise just praying to be played with by my kids and his friends one day and no evidence that I have the movie since there's no damn jewel case except for the big *** box that the 3rd disc rolls around in and would look out of place with my other BR's. Getting a blank jewel case means no box art to slip in, just not the same. Damn.Last edited by Seymour Scagnetti; 11-18-2009, 06:14 PM.Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
Thanx my man. Any links where I could find some half decent art. it might work out better if I can get some original box art to slip in. Do they even sell blank bluray cases as opposed to the bigger DVD cases. HMV maybe?

This site hasn't posted a Star Trek cover yet. Should be coming soon. http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.ph...6&postcount=54
I'm sure the pay sites for custom covers probably has one or 2 out already.Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
Sorry if Im late to the party but Warner Bros. is doing a trade in program when buying a movie on BR that you already own on DVD. It costs 7.95 but thats not bad considering you can get brand new blu-ray movies to replace your existing DVD's with and pay less then 10.00 for them in the process.
Right now there are only 55 titles listed but there are some good ones on there, although be warned that some jump to 9.95 instead of the 7.95 I mentioned.Last edited by The Chef; 11-19-2009, 01:14 AM.Comment
