Am I missing anything essential here?

Shawshank is one of my all-time favorite films so I will undoubtedly pick that one up sometime in the future. I really enjoyed Taken and will pick it up the first time I see it at a low price since I already own the DVD. I saw Zombieland on HBO a few weeks ago and while it was decent, I doubt I'll ever have the urge to watch it again so I will not be getting that one. I haven't seen SPvsTW yet, but it looks intriguing and I'll probably grab it sometime soon when the price goes down.

I am really missing the Criterion version of The Third Man and also the special edition of Blade Runner. I need both of those ASAP but neither will come cheap.

Criterions are worth the money, IMO. They do an awesome job with restoration, plus they always have extras out of the wazoo. Criterion releases are pretty much the only release I will pay more than $25 for.

Just picked up Toy Story 3 on Blu-Ray. This movie will probably be watched more than a million times by my kid.

                              I'm taking a shot here..

Has anyone bought either one of the Harry Potter Blu-Ray Collections? (The 5-disc or the 6-disc)

                              5-disc:

                              6-disc:

Reason I ask... I'm trying to find gift ideas for my roommates and one of them is a big Harry Potter fan and I know his parents are getting him a blu-ray player for Christmas.

I also know that, like me, he doesn't like the cheapy/flimsy/thin cases that often come in box sets. It seems like a small thing but I remember buying the Rocky Anthology DVD box set and then opening it to find out they were individual cases, yes, but there were much thinner/smaller than normal DVD cases and, yes, it bugged me. The smaller cases just look odd next to all the other "normal" cases.

So my question is.. if anyone has bought these (or just happens to know).. are the blu-ray cases "normal" size in either one? or both? or are they the oft-packaged "smaller/thinner" box-set cases?

EDIT: Found this in an Amazon.com review for the 1-6 set:
                              The box set itself, measures approximately (H x W x D) 6.875" x 1.5" x 5.3125". Each disc case measures approximately (H x W x D) 6.75" x 0.25" x 5.3125". These are ultra thin cases, not the standard blu-ray cases.
And found this in an Amazon.com review for the 1-5 set:
First off the package physically is small. Each movie comes in a case that is about half the size of a normal Blu Ray case. I like the smaller cases so much that I wish all Blu Rays came in the small case. It is such a space saver and we REALLY appriciate that aspect alone.
Dang. Guess I'll have to see if I can find a deal for each individually.

I've never had a problem with the thin cases, whether its for blu-rays or dvds. The boxsets I don't like are the ones that fold open with the discs on the sides (ie: BTTF).
