Im not a 3D guy but my parents just got a 3D TV and my mom is getting my dad a blu-ray 3D dvd player. Do the 3D dvd's usually come with a regular blu-ray version as well or do they have to be bought completely seperate? Thanks for help.

They come with both the 3D blu-ray and the 2D version as well, seperate discs.

Avatar 3D does not come with a 2D Blu-ray disc, just a heads up.

Not always. Sometimes it's just the 3D.

Also, sometimes you get the 3D and 2D on the same disc.

Got it, apparently it varies so scratch my response. The few Ive bought have had both and were on seperate discs, most recently was the last Pirates of the Caribbean that was like that so I just assumed they were all like the ones I had bought.

No problems. I assumed that too until I got Underworld Awakening that had both on the same disc.

                    My 3D blu collection:
                    Avatar
                    Avengers
                    Titanic
                    Conan
                    Alice in Wonderland
                    Open Season
                    My Bloody Valentine
                    Underworld Awakening
                    Prometheus
                    Transformers DoTM
                    Dolphin Tale
                    Flying Swords Dragon Gate
Cloudy with a chance of meatballs
                    Darkest Hour
                    The Green Hornet

It would be nice to have more, but 3D prices are insane (unless you find a good sale)

Anybody plan on picking up Tarantino XX? Amazon has the set for $80. I had a few of his movies on DVD but this would be a good way to kickstart my blu-ray collection.

Nah. Already have 6 of the 8.

I would think you can buy the 8 separately for $10 or less.

Yeah every Tarantino BR has been dirt cheap for a long time. Don't know why that is since most have great PQ and AQ and a fair share of extras.

                              picked up Cat Run.

A similar over the top movie to Run Lola Run and Shoot Em' Up.

For those that don't already have these, I was in my local Five Below store and saw that they have all 3 Family Guy Star Wars spoof movies on Blu-ray available for $5 each.
