I have posted my review of 'Can't Hardly Wait' which releases next week. It still holds up very well 10 years later and the picture quality is a bit uneven throughout, but still a very enjoyable film.

      Full review here.

      Comes out Tuesday.
This is my favorite horror movie of all time. Even though it was made in the 80's it has aged very well and you could slice the tension with a knife. I'm showing my age here but I remember when it first came out it was panned by the critics as a inferior remake of the original which was enough for me, being young and stupid, not to see it in the theaters because I thought it sucked. When I then saw it on VHS I was pissed I missed seeing this in the theater. From then on in I take critics with a grain of salt because most critics also panned Blade Runner, Apocalypse Now, The Shining, Starship Troopers, Casino, and 1978"s Invasion of the Body Snatchers when they 1st came out and now they are all considered classics.

I would love to get The Thing on Blu-ray as I love that movie to death, but the fact they cut all the extras off it is very disappointing.

I think The Strangers comes out on the 30th, if not Iron Man because of the recall. I was contemplating which one to buy and which to wait for. Guess the decision was made for me.

Was that movie(The Strangers) good? I have seen the trailer but never had a chance to go out and watch it.

Looking back, I think I actually liked it more than my initial impressions suggested.

                      UPDATE: Iron-Man NOT delayed

Update: We have received word from Paramount that they will meet the street date and that the 'Iron Man' Blu-ray will not be delayed.
That's good, really looking forward to the BR version.

I may try and pick it up in the future once the price drops but this movie just didnt do it for me. I know a lot of people really liked this movie but there was something about it that just bored me to tears, Im sure some of it is my lack of knowledge on the backstory to Iron Man but at the same time it all seemed to be delivered in a rather bland and boring fashion.

Overall I just think the movie was very good, and if a lot of people think it's very good, it gets very high ratings. However, it's not a movie that was excellent by any means. Even things I thought were extremely cool or funny, after seeing it a second time, it definitely didn't have anywhere near the same appeal.

I also tend to compare it to Batman Begins and while I can sit down and watch Batmab Begins quite frequently, I dont see myself wanting to sit down and watch Iron Man at all, its not a knock on the movie itself but when I have to pick between the two I would much rather watch Begins then Iron Man.

Iron Man was fun while watching it, but looking back on it there wasn't a whole lot that I really, thought was "great." A good, enjoyable movie, but thats its for me.

How are the SAL players coming along? Prices? Etc. I want a BR player for TDK and Wizard of Oz (next year sometime) so I'm hoping by Holiday time or spring time.

I was very satisfied with ‘Daredevil: Director’s Cut’ on Blu-ray and believe that this is the best version of the film as it expands the story even more by 30 minutes than the theatrical cut. The Blu-ray releases next week.
