Whats everybody think about Erykah Badu's latest album? How are her previous albums?

I didn't see this posted at all. I have no idea why this song popped into my head just now (no, I'm not grinding on some hot chick at the moment...unfortunately), but the lyrics have always made me .

Her first album is a classic that I would personally put on the same level as any I've heard. Her others are good also. I didn't like her last two too much but I've heard a lot of people did. I've been hearing that her latest is great, but I haven't checked it out b/c of the last two.

She's apparently suppose to come out with two more albums this year. One is a "sequel" to New Amerykah and the other is supposed to be more retro-refined. Anybody heard anything about those? I haven't found any recent news on them. The New Amerykah album is pretty good - I don't think its completely gelled with me, but there's really nothing I don't like on it.

For some reason, that was the only song I liked off her last album. Couldn't really get into her last album like that honestly. Maybe it'll be different with this one.

Still waitin on my boy Lloyd to drop that next classic tho.

Me too. Nobody really talks about it, but his first album was incredible.

Lloyd's album leaked yesterday. Joint is jy short tho...only 12 songs on there and the song with Luda didn't even make the album.

I still **** with Street Love to this day. One of the best R&B Cds of 07. Could make a case for it being the best from last year.

Excellent, excellent CD. It takes a few listens though, because she is really ahead of her time on this one.

                        I definitely agree.

Is it just me or are there no discernible lyrics on the song "My People"? But lyrics show up on my media player for the song...weird.

It just says "My people....hoooold on"

                          It's a tribute to J Dilla.

That's all I hear too, but these lyrics display in my media player when the song plays.
