After watching Season 3, anytime I see Idris Elba and Wood Harris in another movie, they'll always be Stringer Bell and Avon to me. Regardless of what they're in.

LOL for sure. I think I identify every single actor by their Wire character. No matter how big the movies or shows these guys get in they will always be their wire character.

Watch a full season (not real full, only six episodes) of Luther and you'll see Idris Elba differently.

Damn I forgot all about this thread, but yeah I finished watching this about 2 weeks ago and this is definitely up there in my top 5 as far as favorite TV Shows/Movies of all time.

Random sidenote: I never knew Idris Elba was from England. Didn't realize this until I was watching Takers for the 1st time the other night and I was like, "Why is my man talking with that heavy English Accent?" because when I seen him as Stringer Bell in The Wire, he sounded exactly like one of them B'more Bammas(sorry wwharton ) He hid that accent real well on there.

-If I had to rank seasons, I'd go 3,4,1,5 and 2. Season 2 had it's moments but moreso than not, I wanted to hurry up and finish that one as I wasn't really feeling the whole Ziggy, Greek, tracking where the bodies came from thing.

-Favorite characters on the show: Omar, Brother Mouzone, Avon, Marlo, Snoop, Stringer Bell, Bodie, Bunk and Griggs.

-Was shocked as **** when I seen Kenard walk up on Omar and kill him. Thought for sure, he would've got to Chris and Snoop at least before he got killed.

- Felt a little bad for what Randy had to deal with....BUT at the sametime, when you snitch then that's what you have to expect. Especially once other people find out about it.

-Got so many favorite moments but my top 3 were:

Like I said, I got so many but those 3 stood out the mosts to me, especially the last one with Cheese and Brother Mouzone.

-Wasn't it Avon or Stringer that set up to have his nephew killed? Couldn't exactly figure that part out.

-Too many great quotables in this show. I mean literally too many.

-Stringer getting the killed the way he did was a shocker to me because I didn't think he would go out like that. Thought Avon would've had him killed since you could tell once Avon got out of prison that they were acting differently towards each other.

-Marlo was a straight OG. Didn't need to say much and **** still got done. My man had the Headnod/Stare of Death where if he did either to you, then you know you're time was short.

All in all, this show was DEFINITELY worth the hype from everyone here and everyone else that kept telling me to watch it and stick with it and I'm glad I did. Even making me consider buying the series DVD which a year ago, I wouldn't have even considered and I would've been a damn fool to pass up on this show.

Sitting here at work has got me wanting to watch the entire series again, especially Season 3-4.

Rob, Trob, JayBee and everybody else in here...ya'll made me a believer and thank goodness ya'll did.

Bought the complete box set for $88 based solely on what I have heard about this series.

Cant wait to get it started in the next week or so when I got some time.

Havent heard a negative thing about this series so it seemed like a safe bet.

Kinda excited. My GF has never watched this show, and I have finally convinced her to watch the series. She is from Laurel MD, and she drives past the Jessup Detention Facility to work, so I get to watch them all again, with a noob. (BTW I hate the word noob.)

Haha thats funny because I recently wiki'd Idris after watching a soccer game and seen his name randomly advertised on a ad board. founded out he was english and is also a DJ/rapper by the name of "DJ Big Driis" or "Big Driis the Londoner"
