Re: Ok im late I know, The Wire
It may not be as great as some of the other seasons, but it’s still mad good. I didn’t care for it on my first watch through, but really enjoyed it on another pass. Being taken out of the inner city where S1 was so focused was jarring, but there’s a lot more of those characters still being developed then I had initially remembered.
The later episodes of S2 where it becomes clear somebody’s gonna end up a body are thrilling.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: Ok im late I know, The Wire
It took me like my 4th go round on this show before I started to appreciate Season 2. But the first time watching, it was definitely a struggle.
Oh and it’s Poot, FT. Not Pooh, lol

Re: Ok im late I know, The Wire
Yea first time through i didn't love season 2 but 2nd time and every time since ive loved it. If its the weakest season its only because 1,3,4 are so brilliant. I'd say 5 is the weakest, and again only by default its still awesomeOriginally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: Ok im late I know, The Wire
Season 2 thoughts through Episode 6 - All Prologue
Spoiler
Alright, I will say as a whole the Docks is not nearly as interesting as the Streets. Fewer characters that are less interesting both as a whole and individually. Compelling is probably the word I'm looking for and season two isn't as compelling as the previous season. Some of the politics and alliances has been fun to watch I have to admit, however. Watching Daniels basically go toe-to-toe with Burrell and get the unit assigned as a MCU was fantastic. Him talking to Carver
Nicky Sobotka - the whole scene with him in the shadows of the backseat while watching Serge and his goons confront Cheese is great. We're clearly in Nicky's head for this scene and he's reveling in the moment to act as some sort of low-level boss. He's clearly relishing this opportunity to perform and impress the Greeks. Also, I still can't believe this is ****ing Pornstache.
Valchek - I never really paid him much attention or really liked him in previous runs through the series. The little man can be irritating at times, but (so far) he's coming through on his loyalties and favors. Still not sure what to think of him since, after all, the whole of season 2 comes from his personal squabble with Frank, but I'm starting to think he's one of the better majors. Also, the whole surveillance van prank is hilarious.
Stringer Bell - Dude is obviously getting a little ahead of himself and steps over the line repeatedly - especially if it relates to D'Angelo. We can probably discuss the foundation of Stringer's dislike towards D, but I guess it doesn't really matter. String has no code for the game. Operating outside of the box and "out of hand." They've done a great job of really pushing him as cold villain this season.
D'Angelo - As hard as Wallace's last scene is to watch D's death scene is truly terrible. My man just wanted to be left alone. **** you, String.
Avon - My man is in prison and still the king.

Re: Ok im late I know, The Wire
We have 2-3 episodes left of season three. What a ****ing amazing season. Everything in the second half of the season has been nearly flawless.
I have to say, Dennis/Cutty may be the sixth man of the season. His talk with Avon is everything.

Re: Ok im late I know, The Wire
One of my favorite scenes is Cutty asking for 10 racks. Avon and Slim laughed liked he asked for cash to get a 4 for 4.

Re: Ok im late I know, The Wire
Then that scene came up and it showed that he actually respected him, as well as that side of him that made him always take care of his people.
Season 4 is even better than 3..probably the best of the series, FreshComment
