NO WAY YOU SKIP THE FIRST SEASON!!

You can't skip the first season IMO. It helps character build for seasons 3,4,5 especially.

the first 3 episodes are slow. They have to introduce all the characters and there are dozens. By the end of episode 3 it heats up. just have some patience.

No there aren't really any jaw breaking twists, it's not that type of show.

So I finished up the series this past weekend, loved it. I have started over watching them on DTV's 101 now as they come on. lol

Yeah, Omar's the popular choice for sure...

Clay Davis probably makes me laugh and react more than most characters on the show.

Bubs is among the most sympathetic and acts as a great conduit for the other characters... he might be my actual favorite.

Stringer was excellent as well... there's really no choosing for me.
