        In a sense.

        There are major differences.

Drake has staying power because he's not portraying an image that will grow old or something that he's not. He's a pop star and he really doesn't shy away from that.

Ja Rule's persona was gangster. To me that act will always get old. 50 Cent, Hot Boyz, No Limit etc.

Also Ja couldn't sing, while I prefer R&B Drake over Rap Drake. The fact that he can do both somewhat well makes him a very unique pop artist.

Also Wayne/Drake combo will last and make entertaining music for years. Not to mention when Drake teams up with Bun or Trey you can't go wrong.

I got to my seats in the middle of Janelle's second song and I was pretty far back which was pretty disappointing. I didn't get to fully enjoy her performance from a distance, so after she got off stage, I went back to the box office with the help of a very nice usher to upgrade my tickets to the pit area.

Luckily for me, 90% of the people were there for Erykah so there were only a couple dozen people in the pit during Lupe's set and I was the only one down there who knew all his songs. During Hi Definition, he noticed me going word for word with him and for the last part of the second verse, he directed all his attention to me and as the verse ended, he held out his hand, I slapped it and he goes right back into the song.

As a hip hop fan, I can't think of a better feeling than your favorite artist recognizing your appreciation for his/her music and acknowledges it by singling you out from everybody else to rap/sing along with them. Then high fiving you! ^_^

Needless to say, I am incredibly ecstatic I decided to do something about my mediocre seats.

After the show, we went to go eat Chinese food and the fortune in my fortune cookie read "The respect of influential people will soon be yours." I'm going to frame my wristband and that fortune.

Great night, overall. My only regret is that I didn't upgrade my tickets before Janelle Monae's set. I would have loved to be right there for it. There's always next time.
Wow that's ****ing awesome man. I would be ecstatic too!

That's fine if you think he's garbage, but how is he fake or "the fakest mf'er out there"?

He's nothing more than a pop star and he doesn't pretend not to be.

I guess you've never heard of Soldier Boy or Wacka Flaka etc.

Not understanding all the Drake hate myself actually.... All I know is if I were him and my PR people were telling me this and that and it netted me as $ as he is pulling down with his commercial appeal, then I would be right on it. If he is done, gone and forgotten by say 2012 - then he can sit back and wipe his tears on all of the 100$ bills in his bank account.
                  Truly Blessed -

Get The Warm Up right now. I listen to that **** almost daily. The song Lights Please is what got Jay to sign him to Roc Nation.

This fall might be loaded with some amazing hip-hop. Kanye, Lupe and J. Cole could all be dropping their albums around the same time. My ears would be having orgasms.
