I've been slipping on new music this year. Outside of White ghostf....Action Bronson nothing else has caught my attention.

I know down here in the south, radio(FM) is horrendously bad. There seems to be about 5-6 songs in heavy heavy rotation right now, with commercials in between. Memorial Day weekend I swear 93BLX in Mobile played that damn Birthday cake song over a hundred times, and when it wasn't that, it was that one song about the dude riding around with a chick named Keisha smoking on Keisha (cool club song admittedly but damn). Every other song seems to have Chris Brown or Young Money mess on it. Yeah, the radio down here is never an option.

Yeah, 105.7 works or spend my time on 103.3 and 105.3.

I also spend a couple of nights a week working at a bar...

My local radio station in RI will play the same thing as someone living in Texas or Jersey. They're all owned by the same major companies. The only exception being those extra spins will be given to a regional artists gaining major label buzz.

I find it surprising so many of you still listen to the radio.

The Radio isn't a bad secondary option as long as you're not listening to the same station every single day.

I listen to Hot97 maybe twice a week and that's Saturday Night in which their usually live from club and Sunday Nights when Peter Rosenberg Show is on at 12.

                Try it.

I don't see any reason to listen to radio other than news (hip hop or whatever) but that's what blogs are for anyways.

As much as I dislike New York, I think it's the only city with a good radio station. Every other place I go it's either Clear Channel or Radio One playing the same songs every hour. I'm with areobee though, I'm surprised that people still listen to the radio when most cars come with ipod hookup standard and there's still the old tape deck adapter that's cheap.

Yeah I haven't listened to the radio in years. So glad my car came with the aux input so that I can just hook up my phone.

The 2 best albums I have heard so far this year would be Killer Mike and Oddisee. Then again, I haven't heard that much new stuff this year.

I'm halfway through listening to a stream of this album and loving it. This thread is great and seems to always introduce me to guys I would've never otherwise heard about.
