Probably my favorite off their new Album

Both Slaughterhouse albums (Welcome to Our House, On the House) have been in constant rotation. From Welcome, I'm a big fan of Get Up. I also like all the singles like Hammer Dance, My Life, Frat House, Throw It Away, etc. While I prefer "mixtape" Slaughterhouse, mainstream Slaughterhouse is not bad at all.

Speaking of Mixtape Slaughterhouse that Truth or Truth is something serious. I don't know how many times I listened to that Budden verse alone.

I just can't get into cruel summer. I REALLY wanted to love it, but it's not resonating with me (and I like WTT). New God Flow jumped out at me and that was it the first time through. I also liked Ye rapping on that "Where Sinners Dwell" beat. Other than that, nothing. I might need to give it a second listen though.

Edit: Just looked it up, and apparently it was Slaughterhouse who lifted Ye's beat for their mixtape, not vice versa (which makes sense)... whoops. After they bodied it it's officially theirs anyway.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

For the most part, I thought the album was pretty good. I just hate that I heard 50% before it dropped.

What I Did Like: Clique, Bliss, The Morning, The One, New God Flow, Don't Like Remix, Sin City. I thought Ma$e did his thing on "Higher" LOL. D'Banj was a good signing; should have had him on something else.

                What I Didn't Like:

-Not enough of Common & CyHi - They killed all their verses.
-Marsha Ambrosius cursing on the hook - her voice is too good for that
-Cold/Theraflu - Don't know how that made the cut. It's horrible. Especially with Khaled screaming like an *** at the end.
-Creepers - What the hell is Cudi thinking? I don't think I'll ever embrace his music. I've tried, just can't do it.

G.O.O.D Music will go as far as Kanye, Pusha T, Common and John Legend take it.

This is one of the best tracks I've heard all year:

Pretty much the reason I refuse to listen to anymore than 3 leaked tracks off my anticipated albums. I've only heard Mercy, New God Flow, and Don't Like off this one.

Edit: And Theraflu/Cold which I don't care for at all.

Isn't Cruel Summer only like 12 tracks though? With what you've heard, it's already a third of the album on such a small CD.
