If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :) -

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Meh I don't love Mac Miller, but don't hate him. Usually he has a few good songs because of the beats as said.
Who else is excited for Lil Wayne's skateboarding career hahaLast edited by Chrisksaint; 08-06-2012, 03:46 PM.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

No, just annoys me when clowns take on a condescending tone whenever they're not feeling something. I'm not a Mac Miller fan, but I'm not going to act like only a certain group of people can appreciate his talent.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
It's true though and it's like that for PLENTY of other Rappers as well.
Been that way for years, my man and it has nothing to do with not feeling that artist or their music. Just like I don't expect anybody born in the mid-late 90s to appreciate Illmatic or Reasonable Doubt or Straight Outta Compton or the talents of Scarface or Master P or Big Pun, just to name a few.#RespectTheCultureComment

I'm a fan of Nas and have a lot of respect for NWA and the Geto Boys as they paved the way for a lot of artists today.
Good rap is good rap, bruh. It can all be appreciated if you take the time to see what message the artist is trying to convey.Comment

Not really a fan of Mac Miller, but I can listen to "donald trump" & "nikes on my feet" all day. Plus I like listening to the K.I.D.S mixtapeLast edited by goledensilence; 08-06-2012, 09:36 PM.Thee I Love

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Ehh song. Beat is meh. Drake's verse is ight but doesn't really relate to the song and you would think on a posthumous record where you already know what the vocals are, you could craft something to fit it. Also really not the place to be taking shots at Chris Brown.
Timbaland is probably wanting to shoot somebody for allowing this to happen.
SpoilerI view it as Aaliyah asking and wanting to know what's on Drake's mind [figuratively] and wants him to just open up to her, so she can help. I agree with you about the shot at Chris Brown: Outside of that shot, Drake speaks on various events and basically is "ranting" about what's on his mind. Heck, he even ends it with: "This is **** that's on my mind I just keep it to myself. (You know?)"Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I was born in '93, and Illmatic is the album that got me into hip-hop, overrated as it is.
I'm a fan of Nas and have a lot of respect for NWA and the Geto Boys as they paved the way for a lot of artists today.

I don't need to listen to Chief Keef's entire Discography to know that he's not saying anything I never heard before and that his lyrics have no message(unless he's calling a bunch of 18/19 y/os "Slutty Boyz").
I don't need to listen to Mac Miller's entire discography to know that he gears his music moreso towards your age group.
I could go on and on but hopefully you get where I'm going with this. But then again, you might ignore the message and just think I'm "hating" when that's not what I'm doing at all.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Mac Miller ruins every song he's featured on, unless his verse comes at the beginning so it's easily skippable.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
