From what I've heard and seen on other forums, Wayne's bodyguard was in the front seat(he was in the "A Milli" video in the beginning)and rumor has it that Wayne and Baby were in the car as well(Hasn't been confirmed nor denied)And they were reportedly in a Crip neighborhood. Now we all know, by now how Wayne be repping them Blood colors but is not really a blood and I guess out in Cali, one thing you shouldn't do is play around or pretend to be a member of another gang or even affiliated with one. So I guess Loc were trying to get Wayne and Baby out of the car and they wouldn't so they kept ****** with them.

Every thing is cool when you throwing gang signs till you get caught up with some real gang bangers.
They're lucky Wayne didn't swarm like a red ant pile.

Yea I heard her name alot in the past when I used to work up in Bmore. I knew she was a big deal in the Radio industry, but ain't know she was THAT big of a deal up there round Bmore. Was driving around there earlier today for my job and listening to the radio station she used to be on. Man you would've thought it was Jay-Z that died the way the mood was up there. Just crazy...

Rick Ross caught in lie about past work as Police Officer

TheSmokingGun.com has exposed another Hip Hop personality, as the website alleges Rick Ross lied about his past.

Cliiff Notes: Pics surfaced of Ross working as correctional officer at 19 yrs old, Ross completely denied it and said they were photoshopped. The Smoking Gun now says Ross' social security number is an exact match when a correctional officer at that prison in the same years he supposedly worked there.

Ross loses. Really, I don't give a **** if he worked as a police officer, but when you straight up lie and get caught....just kill yourself.

Vibe Magazine is having a Best Rapper Alive Contest similiar to the NCAA Tournament.

I'd say about 3/4th of it quite hilarious while the other 1/4th is just "What The ****"

They have 4 Brackets(2pac, Biggie, Pimp C, Big Pun)

                Here's the link: http://www.vibe.com/bestrapper/

I'll participate. I like the idea of seeds in an NCAA style tourney, but of course, they got those seeds ALL jacked up. So many people who should not even be on the list too. But I will participate because I do think the best rapper alive is on the list.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

Doesn't seem that bad for a mainstream list. Obviously the 12-16 seeds are hilarious either because of joke rappers or dominant rappers, but I think that's just to ensure that nobody can American Idol them and have Jay Z lose in the first round or something.

Overall, 2pac's region is easily the best.

Of the 16, you have 3 whack rappers (Flo Rida, Soulja Boy, and Fat Joe), but at least Soulja Boy and Flo Rida can make catchy songs. After them you have G-Unit, who, now that they're not super popular, everyone can admit that they've liked the entire time. Anyone who didn't and can't enjoy Country Grammar is just a punk. Jada, Beanie, Killer Mike, Rae, and Big Boi are very solid. Ghost can make an argument for top 10 status, and Budden is easily top 10 today. I really don't see much of an argument that Nas and Em aren't the 2 best rappers alive.

Kind of a stacked region there. 2 best rappers ever, another top 5 rapper IMO, best mainstream rapper/group ever, person who put out the best album ever, and a bunch of damn solid rappers.

On Rick Ross, I thought everyone knew he was a correctional officer. I kind of figured he wasn't telling the truth when on his first song out, he says he knew Noriega and Pablo. If you're up on your drug history, you would have known that the fat man wasn't barely a teen when those 2 got locked up/dead. Plus, if you're taking your name from a drug trafficker, you're obviously fake as hell. Then again, pretty much all of the Khaled group is fake as hell. TI, fat man, Akon, Lil Wayne, Plies, Fat Joe...

Yeah, she was pretty big in Bmore but also consider that 92Q is the ONLY hip hop station in Bmore and that's where she made her name and continued to do so... Pork Chop on the morning show was pretty close to her also, so it makes sense that they're going on like it's the Pope... they lost a family member. They're also trying to get people to come out to events to raise money for her family.

With that said, she was also a pioneer in some ways. Not taking anything away from Spinderella but Swift was also one of the first women to really blow up DJing, and used her success positively.

                          RIP

                            From streethop.com
After all the release dates, push backs, and speculation, Dr. Dre has finally begun publicly talking about a realistic release for Detox.

"I'm just now, over the last couple months, starting to feel that it's going to be right and it's something I can be proud of, and everybody is going to love it," Dr. Dre explained to USA Today. "In a perfect world, I'm shooting for a November or December release."

But after Detox it may be a wrap for Dre as he plans to solely focus on developing his Aftermath artists.

"I just make the music feel the way I want it to feel and I don't put it out until I'm totally happy with it. Then it does what it does... I'm going to put this record out, promote it, and then become a hermit,” Dre explains. "I'm going to stay in the studio and produce. All I want to do is sit in the studio with that person [a new artist] for a year and try to create another masterpiece."

Dre has confirmed Detox will feature collaborations with Nas, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg and Jay-Z. Busta Rhymes has also stated he's on it in the past, as has Bishop Lamont, 50 Cent and of course Eminem.
