Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Anyone heard of or listen to The Physics?
I'm kicking myself by not getting into them sooner. New track with Jake One on the beat (NSFW):

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
So far in trying to expand my music library there have been a couple artists I really like
Kendrick Lamar (great calm lyricist with tremendous poise)
Pusha T
I like Tyler, the creator's voice, but something about his personality seems fake to me and he seems like the type of guy who would sell out
Blu was also good
I'm still trying to find a current day (relatively young) rapper who is like Big L.Chicago Bulls
Chicago Bears

There is nobody out here that is anything close to Big L and there never will be another Big L.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
It's a damn shame when great rappers die before we could see what they turned into
But in spirit of Big L:
<object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pmQIGfrQRkI?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pmQIGfrQRkI?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
(he starts at :57 for those who don't know him)
And I'll check out joey badassChicago Bulls

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Random thought...
I find it funny when people nowadays think they are knowledgeable about rap because when the topic of "best rapper ever" comes up they say 2pac, biggie
Yet, I've NEVER heard them play a song by them.
My one friend does that kind of stuff and all he plays is Lil Wayne and dubstep.
He said his favorite dead rapper was Eazy-E, and then a week later I played the song "It's on" and asked him who was rapping and he was clueless...Chicago Bulls
