The dude puts out song after song after song after song, I know he wasn't the first to do that but the dude grinds and built his fan base off that.

He is changing the game. His clever lyrics, powerful punchlines, and positivity pumping through his music, makes him a great artist.

Whether you like his music or not, the dude is original. With these rappers copying these other dudes, trying to play FAKE characters to be portrayed as a "RAPPER," Lil B is doing himself.
Lil B is just as fake as all of them. His whole outlandish act is a big gimmick to try to draw attention to himself because he know if he doesn't, he'll become even more irrelevant than he already is.

The "Hoes on my d**k because I look like Jesus", I'm Gay album title is all a big joke, and is a joke to everyone in the music industry. Yeah, so clever and powerful.

I equate this homerism, to the same love Tyler the Creator gets. In reality, he's the purest form of trash, but because he says reckless stuff at inappropriate times or addresses sensitive topics in his music, people overstate his talent and effect on music. Only people that follow those guys are hipster wannabes, or people that won't listen to mainstream rap, just because it's mainstream rap.

So now Lil B created Ad-Libs?? LMAO

Apparently you forget that Lil B came from The Pack, that was just as cookie cutter as any group coming out when the hyphy movement was gaining steam. There was nothing original about them, and nothing original about Lil' B. There never has been, and never will be.

So keep posting his YouTube videos, so we can all ignore them, like he has been his whole career by every major label after he was dropped the first time. At least your boy Fly3 will keep shooting you a like for them.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

Just finished listening to the songs I hadn't heard from the Cruel Summer album.

I'm not quite sure what to think. It sucked already hearing pretty much half of the album (Clique, New God Flow, Mercy, Theraflu, I Don't Like remix) before hearing it as a whole, but if you really like those songs like I do, then you could probably consider it a solid album.

Out of the songs I hadn't heard, I thought To The World and The One were really the only other tracks that stood out to me. I also wasn't really feeling The Morning.

I think those who didn't like Watch The Throne won't like this album, and vice versa for those that did like WTT.

Huh??? Do you really think Ross just started saying "ugh". Do you know how long Jeezy has been saying "Jea", or when TI was saying "A, A".

You keep talking about his grind but what does that have to do with the content of his music? I dont care how original you are, if you suck, you suck. At least some of these "fake" rappers have a lyrical flow to them and dont sound worse then me trying to freestyle.

"You can see the aces, you can see the spades, its a dirty ****ing game, all the goons know my name"......WTF. You call that clever, and powerful? It a reason all of his videos are shot with a $200 dollar camera, in the back of an abandoned building or the bottom of some staircase.

I'm about to say something that people will be like "what's the point".

Chief Keef is better than Lil B and shouldn't be compared to him (duh on the 2nd part).

Lil B irrelevant? You're already off to a bad start with this post.

Yes, his music is clever. Who else in the game spits like him? Nobody. Some of his music is for laughs, he knows it. It's all fun, people enjoy his Based tracks.

Really? "Hipster wannabes?" I don't even know how to respond to that. It's BASED MUSIC, his fans are BASED. I doubt those that don't listen to mainstream hip hop enjoy his music. If anything, a lot of the stuff posted here is Underground rappers with no more than 500 views on YouTube talking about "real hip hop." OS is full of Hipsters now? Lil B speaks from his heart. He pours his deepest feelings, on topics that may be sensitive to some, at least he's not afraid to put his two cents out.

He didn't create Ad-Libs but he sure as hell has the most popular ones.

Oh I didn't forget about the Pack, not at all. He started with the Pack and if you actually listen to his music, he speaks about how he made that transition to solo artist with a completely different style.

I will continue to post music videos just like everyone else in this thread. It is the Hip-Hop/Rap thread, right? Choosing to watch them is all on you.
