You can stream Goodie Mob's new album at Amazon. I wasn't completely focused on it during my only listen but I feel like I got enough of an impression to call it just okay at this point. It's definitely not classic "Soul Food" Goodie, though I didn't expect it to be. I'd love to get another album of that caliber from them but I don't even think it's possible at this point.

Tracks that stood out to me were I'm Set, Pinstripes, Special Education, Kolors and probably Ghost of Gloria Goodchild.

          Also, my throwback Thursday contribution:

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

What are your guys top releases so far of 2013? For me:

                1. Acid Rap
                2. Doris (Will be number 1 soon, keeps growing on me with every listen)
                3. Wolf
                4. Long.Live.A$AP
                5. Watching Movies With The Sound Off (Mac really surprised me with this one)
                6. Born Sinner [TIE] (Liked initially, but don't find myself replaying it much aside from a couple songs)
                6. Summer Knights [TIE] (1999 was better, Kirk Knight was good though)
                8. Mannibalector
                9. Stolen Youth (Odd Future or OF Affiliates in 4 of my top 10, good year for them)
                10. Yeezus

Upcoming releases I expect to get into my top 10:

                My Name Is My Name
                Knock Madness
                B4.DA.$$
                Nostalgic 64

What about you guys? Remember this is only MY opinion
                Chicago Bulls
                Chicago Bears
                Wisconsin Badgers

I feel like I'm missing some stuff. I never did check out Summer Knights, need to get on that.

My favorites of 2013 so far....

                      1. Magna Carta Holy Grail
                      2. Born Sinner
                      3. Acid Rap

It's weird that these are the only 3 I can come up with considering I think this year has been really, really good as far as new music goes. I haven't listened to Wale's new album yet though and I'm assuming Nothing Was The Same will be up there in a month.

The thing is I've already said my piece about how Yeezus was a piece, Hall of Fame sucks ***, Wolf and Doris are pretty decent but I'm not that big on Tyler and Earl's styles, Indicud was trash, Long.Live.A$AP was a disappointment, and while I liked New Jet City, I'm not going to pretend that I've listened to it since it first came out (aside from Choosin'). And that long *** sentence should just about cover what I've listened to so far this year, lol.

I haven't payed enough attention to hip hop releases this year to form a list. Still a bunch of stuff I only gave one spin or haven't listened to at all yet.

What's one rap album you listen to semi-regularly that others wouldn't expect?

                          I would have to go
                          Jay-Z Holy Grail
                          J. Cole Born Sinner
                          Ab-Soul Control System
                          A$AP Rocky Long.Live.A$AP
                          Skyzoo A Dream Deferred
                          Kanye West Yeezus
                          Wiz Khalifa ONIFC
                          Meek Millz Dreams and Nightmares
                          Mac Miller Watching Movies
                          Sean P Mic Tyson
                          Wale The Gifted

No particular order, just the albums that I have in rotation, can't say I listen to the whole albums of any of these. LOL

                              I wasn't being completely serious.

But seriously though, please stop with all the Tech N9ne videos. I'm getting carpal tunnel over here. If you started your own thread just think about all the songs you and that other guy could share and talk to each other about without these pesky people ignoring all of it. Help me help you.
