Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
That would make sense if he is on tour, but knowing him they could also be completely unrelated. Funny thing is, he could be working on a new album... that's all rock, lol. I love Mos, and even loved his last album... but I'd like to see him get back to where it all started. Get more HiTek up on there.Comment

Yeah, my bad for not getting the name to you quicker, but you got it anyway. It's by far the best mixtape this year, and I agree with RR that's because Mood Muzik 3 came out in Dec or else that would be a top of the list. For TINC, there really isn't a weak track on there, from beginning to end, its hot. I'm big on I'm Da Man Remix too, that's probably my favorite track.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
T.I.’s upcoming album, Paper Trail, has been delayed until September, MTV News is reporting. The Atlanta rapper’s LP is now set to be released September 9. His latest single, “Whatever You Like,” was recently leaked online an now Tip is supposedly going to collaborate with Fall Out Boy for his project. Said F.O.B.’s Pete Wentz: “[It’s like] something from The Nightmare Before Christmas. After hearing about the chance to do a collaboration with someone like T.I. we thought, ‘How amazing would it be to send him something with strings and a Danny Elfman-like intro that Patrick [Stump] came up with? Lyrically you can take it as [being about] a friend, a lover, or even a fan.” [MTV]#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
album pushed back is just the norm now....I don't know why they even bother with release dates until a month or so before it's supposed to drop.
I'm not a huge TI fan but I could dig a Fall Out Boy collaboComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Not trying to defend them, but I don't think they were trying to make a name for themselves. What they were doing was trying I guess show folks that Wayne and Baby aren't bloods(Telling us the obvious lol) and that in Cali(not sure if this is an accurate description but any folks on here living in Cali prolly can explain this better than I can)it probably isn't a smart thing claim something in one place(in this case, Wayne "claiming" he's a blood)
From what I've heard and seen on other forums, Wayne's bodyguard was in the front seat(he was in the "A Milli" video in the beginning)and rumor has it that Wayne and Baby were in the car as well(Hasn't been confirmed nor denied)And they were reportedly in a Crip neighborhood. Now we all know, by now how Wayne be repping them Blood colors but is not really a blood and I guess out in Cali, one thing you shouldn't do is play around or pretend to be a member of another gang or even affiliated with one. So I guess Loc were trying to get Wayne and Baby out of the car and they wouldn't so they kept ****** with them.
Every thing is cool when you throwing gang signs till you get caught up with some real gang bangers.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 07-21-2008, 11:23 AM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
For anybody familiar with the Baltimore Radio Scene:
Popular female DJ K-Swift died this morning (July 21) in a swimming pool accident in her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland AllHipHop.com has learned.
K-Swift, born Khia Edgerton, was just 28-years-old, at the time of her death, although she started DJ’ing at the age of 11, due to the influence of other pioneering DJ’s like Cocoa Channel and Jazzy Joyce.
K-Swift broke ground on Baltimore’s Radio One station 92Q Jams, where she rose to Female Mix Show Coordinator and was the only female in the country to hold the title.
She was also a member of the Violator-All Star DJ Coalition, as well as a member of the all female squad the Murda Mami’s.
"I'm at a loss for words right now,” Murda Mami founder 1st Lady El told AllHipHop.com. “K-Swift was not only one of my Murda Mami sisters, she was a great friend. She knocked down doors for women in this industry, so humble and hard working. Legendary in the club music scene and the number one DJ in Baltimore. She will be missed."
In addition to being the only female record pool director in Baltimore (Direct Drive Record Pool), K-Swift also owned Club Queen Entertainment, a graphics management and production company.
Details on her death will be released shortly.#RespectTheCultureComment
