Em's verse is tight, but I hate the chorus.

The new lil wayne and young money cd's just leaked. I skimmed through the wayne and it sounded terrible. It's like he's trying too hard. He should have just made the carter 4, c3 was brilliant.

The whole CD leaked? I just downloaded "Pass That Dutch". Drake and Gouda killed that track.

What a waste of a solid Em verse.

Who thinks Wayne is regretting wanting to be on a song with Em yet? Two songs in a row that he was way out of his league.

Yeah Wayne sounded like an amateur compared to Em on Forever.

Rebirth is a trainwreck. The Young Money album is pretty decent though.

Lol man...again, don't go buy what you hear on the radio. Most commercial rappers have a lot better material but they know how and have to make music for the masses too.

This isn't what the masses "want"... the masses just need to be spoonfed, because the masses rarely make an effort to search for music outside these channels.

Now, since Def Jam/Roc A Fella/Young Money/Cash Money etc... OWN the radio (yes, these guys are rich as hell, and money can literally pay for ANYTHING), their music will always be streamed... people are fooled into believing that they make the hits, and that they request the singles.

That's the most fairy taled thing i've ever heard. If I had gobs and gobs of dough to throw at radio stations and BET/MTV, trust me... I'd be on the radio all day whether you liked it or not.

The real point is... they don't need to be making all that foolish bull**** to catch some kind of dumb-*** hood-rep, for 15 minutes. They need to be building a platform of longevity.

De La Soul still exists people... so does KRS... Buckshot... Masta Ace... Brand Nubian... they won't go away, cause they never made **** music.

                              Sorry, I don't buy this....at all.

How do you explain someone like Gucci Mane? The guy was NEVER mainstream...in fact the furthest thing from it. He simply made enjoyable music that built a huge following in the south and eventually across the nation. It got to a point where the MTV/BET, mainstream artists, and the radio HAD to take notice. Now he is on songs with Usher and Mariah Carey. The notion that a rapper like Gucci Mane was spoonfed is the farthest thing from the truth.

There is a lot of ignorance about hip hop on this forum so that's why I normally don't argue this. But some opinions are so out there that I just have to chime in.

why does gucci mane name always come up when talking about hip hop. i don't go looking for music cause i like what i have whether on cd or what i know from back in the day. I know those guys are out there. but one thing i think people has to realize is that its not spoonfedding people want. people want options. radio back in the day you could hear anybody. You could get the brand nubians, poor righteous teachers, jay-z , biggie, dmx and who ever else. but they made it on radio there uniqueness made it on the radio. everyone sounds the same now. I was upset when pittsburgh lost there hip hop and R&B radio, but i'm really not missing anything. Honestly there is better music on mixtapes than there is on full cds nowadays
