This isn't the first time that other dimension has opened up for Dunham or at least opened up to see something as those streaks have also been present in Dunham-less scenes.
I always wondered about that as well.

Do we really need spoiler tags? The episode is over and can be seen online.
I froze the frame and still missed that.

Wait so when Walter was looking Peter's grave was it because Peter had died in the other dimension? If so, why would he not be buried in that dimension?

No it's likely that the Peter we've seen has crossed over from a dimension where he didn't die, into one where he did.

But he did say," he want to reach over into the other reality and take something from them". I guess that's what he meant. WOW!!!!
Yeah, so I guess Walter went to that other alt-dimension to get alt-Peter and bring him back to reality to replace a deceased Peter. I wonder how that worked...

Anyone else think it was funny how Leonard Nimoy said his name. Never watched any Star Trek but I know he's famous from that series. I guess that's just how he talks... I just thought it was kind of funny.

But I guess you can go back and forth between reality and that alt-dimension? That seems like what Walter did to get alt-Peter to reality. He must've crossed over then came back. So I guess Olivia isn't stuck in that alt-dimension.

Also, I thought you could only cross over in soft spots? Are there a lot of soft spots that actually work outside of Reiden Lake? Because Olivia was in an elevator in NYC when she went to that alt-dimension. So maybe William Bell knows a lot more then Robert David Jones (the guy with the messed up face, now dead)?

Yeah, I think we're supposed to assume that Bell has a lot better quality machinery than Jones did and can probably transport at will if he wants, hence the ease in getting Olivia there.

                Thanks for clearing that up.

Another thing I noticed which was kinda weird and funny at the same time. The elevator Olivia was in didn't have a 13th floor. The old building I used to live in didn't have one either, they claimed that the number 13 was bad luck so they just skipped it.

I wonder if I can get there if I go back to my old building?

A lot of buildings are like that. The building I work in doesn't have a 13th floor.

The building she ends up in (the World Trade Center) also didn't have a 13th floor in real life.

Anyone's thoughts on whether or not Dunham is from that alternate dimension and perhaps that's why she's so special to Massive Dynamic?

I think Peter died around the same age that Dunham was tested in Jacksonville. What if the tests went horribly wrong and Bell and Bishop used the other dimension to bring the kid's duplicate over to their dimension?

i have had very few moments during a tv show where i sat there with my jaw dropped, but there were 2 in that season finale, when we saw the headstone and when the camera panned out and they were in the wtc...i get chills thinking about it again. on a side note, watching lost last night, my son was like, "i like fringe better i think, it is much more realistic...". ain't the imagination of a 12 year old great!

Kirk Acevedo, the guy who plays Agent Charlie Francis, was fired today and wont be back for the new season. I dont see it as a gigantic loss but its nice to have all the main characters back so it is somewhat of a letdown.

I wonder why he was fired?

The two things I know him from, he plays a great guy personality-wise (as Francis in Fringe, and as Papale's buddy Tommy in Invincible). I figured he was like that in real life, too. He still may be and I'll reserve all judgment until hearing the ramifications of this firing, but it doesn't look good, seeing that being fired is different from not being signed back on after an expired contract.

He was a great character around the workplace that Olivia could share secrets with and he would understand. It will be a shame that he won't be there any longer. Didn't they film scenes with him for next season already, being that we got previews for it at the end of the finale? Maybe he'll remain in those and they'll explain his disappearance in some other way.
