Not a fan of the heels. At. All. The rest is what I expected though so I like it, but the heels. No, just no.

I like it too but the heels! C'mon Nolan I thought this was the real world? Catwoman would probably trip and fall if she was being chased.

      Bad oversight there.

So I take it the 'ears' end-up becoming the goggles? Looks that way from the pictures.

I would have preferred a cowl for Catwoman though. Still, I'll reserve judgement until I see this in motion.

I love the Catwoman design. The best part to me is the eye-mask because it is essentially the trademark design of a traditional thief. Plus, Anne looks pretty sexy.

                    No Internet or message boards.

It's a minor thing to complain about but I think that's good. The suit looks good too. I understand why the shoes would cause some confusion. Just isn't realistic for a burglar. Oh well, it ups the sexy factor.

I know the movie is going to be great, but that costume is pretty bad. Plus i'm still not sold on Anne Hathaway as Catwoman away.

I'm in the same boat. I'm not looking at any pictures, but boy, there must be a damn good reason she's in the film and doing what she's doing. I really hope they didn't mess it up just by inserting her. These guys could've made it end up being a 2 1/2 hour film of a dog dropping, and the masses still would've come for the midnight and weekend showings.

What I'm saying is, if Nolan or the producers decided to make sure they could still attract an audience so they included Hathaway and Catwoman, that would be the very last reason I'd like to see her in this film. I want it to be because it was the right thing to do.

this just reminds me how against having Heath Ledger in the last film people were. If anything it was worse. Either that or they're mad the Riddler wan't chosen as the villian. But i think we've gone over that topic ad nauseum in this thread a while ago

                              Re: The Dark Knight Rises

*Insert another shark jumping crack here*

When that first picture of Heath was released people flipped out. From that first head-shot, people were talking about the make-up, his costume, the casting, his laugh, etc. Basically everything that's been done with Catwoman (though I think The Joker stuff was, by far, a lot more intense). That is the thing about the internet - it turns everybody into a damn critic.

Honestly, the suit fits into Nolan's world perfectly sans the heels. I could care less about her damn shoes. Keaton had on Nike's and they were so visible he might as well had done a commercial for them. This is the same thing I said in the Superman thread, but looking at full-figured production shots and then watching the movie will be a night-to-day transformation for the costume. It is very simple, yet stylish and honestly is the epitome of the classic thief look, not to mention its a clear throwback to the 60s Catwoman.

The comparisons to Batman Returns are unfounded because I am positive nobody has watched that movie in the last 10 years. If they have they would realize not only how ridiculous that movie is, but how truly ridiculous Catwoman's costume was in that movie. Was it sexy? Hell yes, but what kind of woman prances around in skin-tight leather that ISN'T on the set of a S&M porno.

Blzer, I still don't understand why you are so adament (or worried/paranoid) about the Catwoman character. When has Nolan ever shoe-horned anybody into his movies, much less fill his films with things he thinks will draw a bigger audience. TDK basically gave him a blank check and a blank screen-play for him to do whatever he wants. Is it a problem that you don't know for sure why she is in the film or can you not picture a scenario that would involve her in anyway?
