Hmmm....Does this mean Ra's will be in this movie too? Maybe not in full blown villain mode but if Talia's there then it reasons that Ra's will be too.

But wasn't Ra's killed in Batman Begins?

        Yeah, Ra's is dead.

A Talia and Hugo Strange combo could be very good, as they are two of the characters that find out the Bruce Wayne/Batman connection and I could definitely see Nolan going that route.

But is Ra's al Ghul immortal? Are his methods supernatural?

I think in the Nolan Universe Ra's al Ghul is a title? For who ever is the leader of the League of Shadows.

I figured the same thing, but if they're going to have Talia al Ghul in it, I assume she'll be Liam's "Ra's" daughter and therefore the real Ra's will be dead and that'll be her motivation to bring down Bats.

I'm intrigued. I was hoping they'd go with a 'non mainstream' villain.

Maybe they'll throw in Catwoman too just to appease the casual crowd?

Who knows. I don't know much about the Batman universe myself, but I definitely didn't want to see Penguin, Catwoman .. Riddler would have been fine with me.

I am not certain on the whole title thing. Just throwing out a guess. Or maybe the they will discover the pit in the 3rd movie.

                  Lends to the "Rises" name.

Oh, the title thing makes complete sense...and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Ra's in this movie...but I wouldn't be expecting Liam to rise from the dead.

                      Hugo Strange isn't really mainstream.

Where did his name come up?

I was referring to Ra's daughter, and that I'd be pleased if they go in that direction. It'd be different and I like different.

I am still crossing my fingers they don't go with Catwoman.

D'oh I forgot about the uber realism of the Nolan movies. So I guess no lazarus pits

Hugo's name is the front-runner for the main villain now that Nolan has said the Riddler won't be in it.

Yeah, I definitely agree that Ra's is immortal in the sense that someone else could take the name and lead the League, but I don't think we'll see Liam come back to take that role over again. He died when that train crashed.

If Nolan is going to say that Two-Face died from that fall, there is absolutely no way Ra's didn't die by exploding train/building after the crash.

Well, I guess he could. Some kind of "smoke and mirrors" thing would be explainable. And I wouldn't complain about Liam returning for the third one, he's an awesome actor.
