You owe it to yourself to read it. One of the best Batman stories ever IMO. In fact a couple years ago the Comics Should Be Good blog did a reader survey of the 100 best storylines in comic book history and this was the top Batman storyline chosen by the people and was overall #4 on the list.

I've tried to find it online, but I'm not sure if comics are similar to things like music/movies where it's not necessarily the "good" thing to do to go about it that way.

I would just buy it, but considering the one book store here that might have it is pretty far from where I live and the combo of having no car and it being winter, I can't.

BnG- Amazon has Batman:Year one on sale if you're interested. I'm thinking of getting that The Killing Joke and Dark Knight Returns since they have for 32.20 only. Hearing about this got me in the mood to read some Batman.

I might have developed a man crush for Tom Hardy.

Personally, I like the idea of JGL being Falcone's son (or another member of the family) or Black Mask.

The Black Mask idea makes a ton of sense when you consider this:

The Dark Knight made it abundantly clear that the traditional gangs of Gotham are ill-equipped to handle business in a city overrun by costumed freaks. The only option is to swear loyalty to one of said freaks.

The mob has been prevalent in both Begins and Dark Knight, so I'm assuming there needs to be a new mob boss villain for TDKR.

I watched Batman: Under the Red Hood last night on Netflix. It was pretty 'effin awesome.

I loved Phantasm too, as previously mentioned.

Also, I bought Batman: Gotham Knight on Blu Ray for like 15 buckeroonies around Christmas time. It has 6 different stories by 6 different directors and 6 different comic styles. Very awesome.

And just to throw this out there, I KIND OF enjoyed Batman Forever. It bordered on Batman & Robin corniness, but it didn't cross it.

I found it tolerable. I kinda of liked Jim Carey as The Riddler, I did not like Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face but I loved Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy.

I like the idea of JGL playing Black Mask, he could be the other villain in the movie with Bane being the other.

I hated Jim Carrey's Riddler.

I'm not too familiar with the comics, but I doubt that Riddler was supposed to be seen as the gayest thing in the history of the universe.
