Apparently JGL's John Blake character has appeared in a Batman comic before, just not how you'd expect:

      ah that jokerster Joker!

So maybe JGL's character might have had a run in with the Joker in his past (albeit a bit darker one than in that comic lol)

Haha, wow that had to be the least vile thing Joker has ever done in his criminal past.

Also re JGL's role. If Nolan was able to keep this role so secret that no one guessed Blake, I have no doubts he can keep the ending secret unless someone accidentally blurts it out.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Blake just so happen to get his face deformed in a black way.

                  Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Just a quick little update on some things (nothing big):

-I'll put them in spoilers, but here is what is the list of locations where the movie will shoot:
                  Spoiler

-We should be getting the official synopsis of the movie soon.

-Cotillard made a few comments about being in The Dark Knight Rises, finally:

"My role is a secret, as is the whole project." So speculation about who she'll actually be -- from a love interest of Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne/Batman to a more shadowy character -- can run riot.

Just what is it about Batman that makes him so appealing to the actress? It's that brooding thing. "I think it's that he's human," Cotillard said. "He can't really fly, and he doesn't have superpowers. And he has that darkness inside."
                  Link.

I'm interested in the official synopsis. Can't wait to see what Nolan actually says about the overall plot.

I've avoided anything under a spoiler tag so far, but have run into a couple of posts suggesting certain things. I think from here on out I'm going to avoid this thread until I spot a teaser trailer for myself.

This is going to be a long *** year leading up to release.

Even knowing what we think we know, I can't wait to see it unfold on screen.

I could know the entire ****ing movie scene by scene and I would still be amazed as I watched it.

Hell, I still get engrossed in The Dark Knight and I've seen that movie too many times to count.
