[After Batman has killed the lights] Oh, you think darkness is your ally. You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see the light until I was already a man. By then, it was nothing to me but blinding! [Batman attacks Bane but is easily overcome] The shadows betray you because they belong to me.
For those of you who are interested in the making of/behind the scenes stuff, the book "The Art and Making of The Dark Knight Trilogy" is really good. It is made up of interviews with all of the cast and crew and provides details into every aspect of each film and why they made the choices that they did. It has some nice concept artwork, models, and behind the scenes photos.
It is a solid book too, 304 pages, hardcover that weighs a few pounds. You could hit someone with this thing and knock them out cold.
I'm pretty much at the point that I'm willing to watch any movie that JGL is in. Even that Premium Rush movie.
I think I'm in this category too. Inception made me recognize his name. 50/50 made me look forward to seeing other movies with him in it. TDKR sealed the deal. I'm a big fan.
For The Dark Knight and Inception, I was still in school and just decided to rent the things and get them as Christmas gifts. That way I knew they wouldn't be staring me down during finals week or the week before.
Now that I'm home, that's probably going to change this time around.
By the way, December 7th is a Friday. Looks like that kind of thing is catching on now, and Tuesdays may become a thing of the past. The Hunger Games did this as well.

The first two installments of Christopher Nolan's "Batman" Trilogy dominate the charts, relegating FOX's "Three Stooges" to No. 3.
A lack of major new releases combined with continued interest in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises in theaters pushed the first two films in the director’s Batman trilogy, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, into the top two spots on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert Sales Chart for the week ended July 29.
Pretty impressive after all these years that those two movies are on top of the charts....
Don't know why I ended up reading that whole thing.
I always did wonder why Bale's mouth kind of hangs open when he's Batman, even when he's not talking. Maybe it's just how the suit is made, but it always makes me feel like he's about to sneeze.

It was, but I expected everything that was going to be said (calling out the known flaws, that is), so I just meant I wasn't sure why I didn't leave it all up to imagination. My favorite laugh-out-loud moment was:
CHRISTIAN BALE climbs out of the prison as soon as he learns the other prisoners keep chanting the FILM TITLE at him.
The Matthew Modine moments were hilarious as well.
I'm consciously aware of the trilogy's flaws, and my good friend and myself do nothing short of ripping what TDK does hilariously (or we make "parody" instances of even the best/most serious moments and make them hilarious). Yeah, we trash the film that we love the most. Same goes for this film. I read this script, and it just doesn't phase me one bit. I'm glad I get to laugh at the flaws, ridiculous as they are, and care more that I just loved the film.
