I thought it was a pretty lame episode.
Ben got Sayid to beat the crap out of him, possibly disposed of Aaron in the process. Why else would have Sayid been in handcuffs. So he gets him arrested for his beating and has him extradicted. But that is just bad writing if thats the case. No way could you have someone extradicted that fast after a violent crime. If they simply wanted to recreate the Marshall and Kate in handcuffs they could have just put Kate in cuffs once she got on the plane with a fake Marshall.
Are they introducing a new character at this juncture? The guy in 1st class, who is he supposed to represent?
A few odd Ben inconsistancies that may just be bad writing. In the previous episode when Sun, Jack and Ben were in the van, Sun asked Ben why its taking so long to get to where they were going and Ben responded that he didn't account for traffic......It was late at night and no other cars were on the road.
On the Plane with Jack, Ben says his mother taught him how to read. His mother died at child birth.
One other odd thing. It appears that Ben controlled the timing of the plane getting back to the island. There was a flash shortly after Ben got up and they were back on the island.
So here's the deal with that flash. The Island is still moving through time, and the plane was over the island. When they returned its back in the 70's or 80's. So its clear that Locke didn't stop the island from traveling when he turned the wheel.
Another inconsistancy would be that if they were in the plane when the time flashed, guess what, that plane they were flying in wasn't there in the 70's so they basically free fell thousands of feet. Nice. The same way Locke fell in the well because the well didn't exist when it flashed backwards in time.
