exactly.. why dont people understand that? yes, some cc employees are still within the stores, but they no longer cc people. my buddies that worked there had on a cc shirt, with black tape and were drinking pop on the sales floor. customers were asking questions and they were saying "sorry, we dont work here no more visit the front desk if you have questions.." lol. i thought that was classic.. they were also telling people to go to sears and best buy that your not getting any good deals here at all. love it!!

Exactly. I mentioned this earlier, but I don't think it's always understood how these things work. It's out of CC's hands now.

i walked in cc today, one i used to work at. i know a lot of people their etc. i told the lady i used to work for "hey, here is 1,000 bucks cash, give me that 65 inch sharp lcd for 800 and then put the other 200 in your pocket." lol. she couldnt do a thing, they told them if they sell anything lower than what the liquidator wants etc, you will lose your 60 days pay and possible unemployment pay. i said bull****, sell it. but she wouldnt, she was nervouse to do so.

Can't understand why she was nervous about stealing and breaking the law.

This is how it works

1) Company declares bankruptcy
2) Parent company hires a 3rd party liquidator to take are of getting rid of merchandise. It is THEIR job to get as much as they can for the stock thats left
3) Raise prices higher than normal (usually MSRP)
4) Discount off that price to say 40-50% off when its really 10-15% off of what it had been priced at.
5) As time goes on and merchandise is left, they will lower prices, sometimes even negotiating. You do NOT get great deals on day 1. Often times you can peel up the "sales" stickers and see the old prices underneath.

This sucks. Other than Circuit City all my town has are the department stores (Wal-Mart, Target, etc) and Crutchfield. CDs/DVDs is also Barnes and Noble (if you're crazy enough to pay those prices) and an independent music store.

One thing about Wal-Mart, they say put on a happy face but when I leave that place and look at my receipt I am all but happy....

So, I checked in at CC today in a nearby town and picked up a new 360 (Arcade) for $149.99. A pretty good deal since I have everything from my old one that is about to kick the bucket. I also picked up some CDs for 40% off before they get picked over too much.

So, I checked in at CC today in a nearby town and picked up a new 360 (Arcade) for $149.99. A pretty good deal since I have everything from my old one that is about to kick the bucket. I also picked up some CDs for 40% off before they get picked over too much.

Dell was selling this online for around the same price. So where are the CC cuts?

All their DVDs are 40% off the original price. I copped some sets yesterday. You guys should too.

Only sets i'd possibly be interested in are lost seasons 1 and 2. but i'd probably wait for a blu ray release.
