Re: Falling Asleep: TV on or off?
I always watch a movie before I go to sleep so it's on but I use the sleep timer so the tv isn't on all night.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Before, I couldn't sleep with the TV off...the silence/darkness freaked me out. Now I can't fall asleep with it on.Comment

Re: Falling Asleep: TV on or off?
I keep my laptop bedside when I go to bed. I usually watch a few episodes of whatever series I am going through at the time (currently: dragonball) or will stream some old school wrestling. I usually end up watching it for an hour or so then mute the sound but keep the video going. The screen turns off after a few hours of being idle.Seattle Pilots GM (2011 - ) Record: 152 - 195

Re: Falling Asleep: TV on or off?
Nope, it has to be 100% dark and 100% quiet or i can never go to sleep. Now I can admit to getting really drowsy during a boring football game but i'll never fall asleep.Originally posted by bgenoDo you watch/listen to TV as you fall asleep at night?Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Falling Asleep: TV on or off?
It's really the noise factor and not so much the source of light, but I always sleep with the TV on. It's why I love that the PS3 now has a power save setting, I set it to an hour every night and put on a Blu-ray. I can either fall asleep to the movie or its commentary track, I love it. Other nights I'll fall asleep to Family Guy or Sportscenter or something.
If I'm not up to any of those, I'll put on music or a podcast and fall asleep to it. I never fall asleep to nothing.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Yes. It needs to be on, at low volume, tuned to something I like but am not especially interested in at the moment. Nick @ Nite sitcoms, preferably.Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.
