I saw this on the plane on my way to London on New Year's Eve. It was actually really good!

"Integrity" is the only thing that comes to mind here. This movie and character basis is too originally conceived to be thrown around for sequel talks, in my opinion. He's making a video game, so hopefully that will be the stopping point.

I feel like I've said this to you a million times but if you don't want to see a sequel then when it comes out, don't see it. Integrity has nothing to do with anything, if he feels that he has a good enough story in this universe, then it's his perogative to make another movie.

Bingo. It's not as if some other director/producer is suddenly like "Hey, I want to make Re-Inception!"

It's Christopher Nolan. He won't make a sequel unless he feels as if he has a good enough story, a good enough script, and a good enough cast to make the movie live up.

If you feel as if there shouldn't be a sequel...don't watch it, don't think about it and pretend it doesn't exist.

Exactly. Its what many people do with the Matrix.

Though honestly i got the impression that Cobb's team isn't the only one doing things in dreams out there. Maybe it can go that route.

That's the only route I would like to see it go, though I feel like this might be what they're doing for a video game in perhaps a more surreal environment.

If there's a sequel and Nolan writes and directs it, I'll watch it only because I trust that Nolan will only write a sequel if it had promise.

If it ends up being the studio that wants to make a sequel, I'll pretend it never happened.

Absolutely - if it's Nolan's idea, it's going to be a great movie, at the very least. Probably not the same level as the original, but it will still be a damn good one if Nolan writes/directs it.

I don't see Nolan letting the studio force his hand, though. If they couldn't do it with the third Batman movie, or even the second one, he's not going to let them push him around and rush him on a second Inception.

Well, they'd be smart to let him make it, but it isn't his property. They can do whatever they want with it now.

It's the same BS we're seeing now with the Buffy The Vampire remake. Studio went to Whedon first and he said he didn't want to make a reboot of the series. So, they're making it anyway without his help.

Sucks that you can create a character and a story and still not actually have the right to control it.

With the way the movie ended, the cliffhanger might be conductive to a sequel. Perhaps DiCaprio finds out he is still in a dream as his top (or whatever it's called) keeps on spinning indefinitely?

This movie doesn't need a sequel. It's fine as it is.

Sure, there COULD be one because they never really delved too deep into the other characters and the world itself, but I just don't think it's needed.

                              So true.

                              For me it's basically:

Nolan involved = must see at the cinema

Nolan not involved = pass completely

Just because a movie hands with a cliffhanger doesn't make it worth a sequel
