Re: Kid Cudi
That's actually pretty close.
I like his Lark In My Go Kart or whatever crap title for that song is. But, I gave his other tracks a listen and they are horrible.
Really, the only thing good about I Love College is that it's about college and might be a bit catchy. The verses and flow are weak.
I know rappers trying to get into the industry better then this kid and it really is about selling a certain image when Jay supports him. Jay is just thinking dollar signs. He has to know the kid is wack."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Kid Cudi
Herbs,
I agree with you about Cud's
His **** is different, and right now dudes are hating on it... just liek cats hated on 808 HB
Everyone says hip hops not the same as it used to be, and are loking for something different but when it comes they say its "garbage".
Cud's has TALENT, the range on that dudes voice and his musical concepts are far above anything Asher Roth, and that other dude Charles Hamilton (whose little sonic the hedgehog schtick is annoying) could dream about.
Asher has talent in that he can put together rhyming words in a funny comical kind of way..but what drunk emcee cant do that?...
Hes getting love cause hes a goofy looking white kid, with a funny voice rapping about smokin trees, and other "stuff"...im not hating on him get your money... by all means, do you.
But to compare THAT to the TALENT Cud's has is just laughable.#SimnationComment

Re: Kid Cudi
To me, that's better than...
I popped a cap in him
Then strapped on my tims
And no I'm not Mims
But you wish I was
And I'm more hood than you, cuz
Less food on my table than Ghandi does
To each his own...Last edited by bgeno; 04-22-2009, 02:59 PM.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? No one can seem to kill the right one.Comment

I heard Cudi freestyle or pretend (whatever they do in the rap game now) and he was really good. I was excited for his music.Herbs,

I liked the idea behind the production. I get his sound. I just didn't think he brought to the table what I expected after hearing him prior. I almost felt like he dumbed down his style."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Kid Cudi
Asher Roth - If you can have someone make a parody of your song and it be as good as the original then you aren't very good.

Re: Kid Cudi
I personally like Cudi. I think he's different and I enjoy listening to his music. I liked his first mix tape more then the newest one. The new one doesn't seem like it's that serious. I do like a lot of the beats on the new one though.
Sky Might Fall is probably my favorite song on the new mix tape and I'm positive that it is going to be on his album.
I think his actual album is going to be solid though. With Kanye on board I'm looking forward to seeing what they can put together.Comment

Re: Kid Cudi
I like Poke Her Face but only because of the beat and Common completely changing. Day N Nite is a horrible song, the producer could've put a car crash over that beat and it would've made more sense than his lyrics.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
