Shawshank Redemption - Quality movie, but not something that would get repeated viewings out of me.

Cry of the Owl - not a bad movie, but it was forgettable.

Outsourced - Same as CotO.

Rented Watchmen last night. Still not sure what to think about it. Surprised at the intensity of the violence, and the length of the movie.

I watched I Love You Man for the first time since seeing it in the theaters last night. I once again enjoyed it. It's good for what it is. There is nothing special about it, but I think it does a great job portraying the dynamics of male/male relationships. Plus John Favreau is absolutely hilarious in the film. All in all its a good movie to sit down and watch while tossing back a couple cold ones. The only downfall was that when it ended I had to leave my friends house and go back to my house where the AC has decided to quit on me and my girlfriend. 91 degree heat inside the house FTL.

Friday the 13th-Big fan of this series so I was excited to see this but was quickly dissapointed. Really nothing different than any other movie made in this series the past 29 years. Teens hooking up, boobs, dumb characters, people always split up, etc etc. The stupidity of these people gets me everytime. Lets hit jason and knock him down, then run 10 feet and stop and hide somewhere. I give it 2/5 stars.

Shooter- Loved this movie, not the biggest fan of the retro action movies 1 man takes on a whole army and defeats everyone but this was an awesome movie. I'm a big fan of sniper tactics and stealth and I thought this movie incorperated both well. 4/5 stars

Wanted-Blah, the 1st scene where the guy gets shot in the head was cool and then it was just boring. Wasnt expecting much outta this one. 2/5 stars.

I agree. Solid solid movie. But nothing overly great. The best parts about the movie are Rashida Jones (omg) and John Favreau. And I love Segal and Ruud usually but they weren't great in this movie, although there were some real hilarious moments.

They're cool. I'm not much into watching old movies though, so unfortunately I probably won't go out to rent these movies.

Doesnt bother me one way or the other and with the amount of crap on the forums these days I would say your detailed reviews of older movies is probably the least of anyones concerns here.

Just finished watching The Watchmen and it was better then I expected but too long for me. I dont mind long movies but this one seemed to drag at times but it wasnt nearly as bad as I was told it would be.

Just re-watched Saw I and then watched II and III for the first time.


Saw II: I loved this movie. The ending was brilliant. It wasn't as bad with the gore as I thought it would be.

Saw III: Outstanding. Favorite of the series. The last 30 minutes completely threw me off but I pieced it together after I played the last few chapters over again.


I wikipedia'd Saw IV since it was getting bad reviews from most people. I'm glad I did, I doubt I would have enjoyed all the complications in the script. Can't wait to see Saw V though. Might go rent it this week.

Glad you like them! Saw III is definitely my favorite as well.

Saw V isn't going to give you any good acting or major complexities, but it definitely is a good intertwining story and will hopefully help you like some new characters that Saw IV didn't help with. It is still my second favorite as well. The only reason I ask you to watch Saw IV is so you can understand what the new characters are like. Otherwise it kind of is a crap fest.



Anyway, I didn't know if this thread was for every movie I have currently watched, or just the ones I haven't seen. Haven't seen a new one in about a week, but just recently I watched Jurassic Park, The Ring, Final Destination 2, and King Kong. Watching The Dark Knight on HBO right now.
