Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1

I just watched Strange Wilderness, it has Steve Zahn and Jonah Hill, its a Happy Madison movie, it is horribly written and just a bad movie, but damn was it funny. I mean most of the film is so bad, but there were so many lines that were so damn funny. I don't know if that makes sense, but if you want a stupid movie that will for sure give you plenty of stupid things to laugh at this is for you.

Here is a line that had me dying.

Steve Zahn single handedly saved "Sahara". With better writing he could be a top 3 comedic actor.

I know exactly what you mean. It was indeed a terrible movie, but I found some parts of it utterly hilarious.

Steve Zahn is definitely underrated. He was great in Rescue Dawn.

Miracle at St. Anna. Better and different from what I expected from the TV ads.

I never thought I'd say this, but I've just seen a movie that is worse than Meet the Spartans. Keep in mind I rank that as the worst movie I've sever seen.

Miss March is that terrible. Avoid at all costs. I paid $1 at the redbox kiosk and I want 99 1/2 cents back.

I'm a pretty forgiving person and actually thought Gigli had it's moments, but there is nothing good that can be said about Miss March.

Yep, it truly is the worst movie I have ever seen. I agree.

                    Miss March was beyond terrible.

                    Junebug - Nice understated film.

Punisher War Zone - It was cheesy, the acting was below average, very unrealistic. I loved it.

Adventureland - I was expecting to be laughing like I was during Pineaplle Express or Superbad but it wasn't that type of movie. I get the feeling more people expected the same thing. It was still pretty good imo and I really enjoyed it.

Watched Eagle Eye last night. It was alright. Kind of like I, Robot but without the robots.

Great movie. Wish I could write more right now but I can't. Remind me to in the morning.

Gran Torino? I thought it was pretty fun, actually. No one else could really act except for Eastwood, and he was actually humanized compared to his past roles. I wouldn't be so quick to call it "realistic" or whatever people want to call it and I assume some people didn't appreciate any red herrings that were thrown into the movie, but I did enjoy it. Will I buy it? No. Am I compelled to watch it again right now? Absolutely not. But for a free viewing it was very enjoyable.

V for Vendetta last night on blu-ray. It was the first time I had seen the movie since it was in theatres. I had forgotten how much fun it was to watch and listen to V - he has a swashbuckling type of charisma that helps him being seen as a simple terrorist. That closing scene has always been in my head though, so epic. Love it.
