lol, i went into watching that movie and thinking ok. Wilson and Anniston going to be a good comedy. I did NOT expect the movie to be what it was and it was very very sad at the end. Everyone has been there with a pet they loved.

Great movie.
I strongly believe that movie might be better than my initial little mini-reviewish thing here. It's been 2 days since i've seen it, and I literally can't stop thinking about it. I've spent a couple hours scouring Youtube for the alternate ending that's on the Blu-Ray because I took it back to the video place before I had a chance to watch it. I found myself, while watching a different movie tonight, replaying some of the more awesome sequences from Paranormal in my mind. Just, the more I think about it (and I literally can't stop thinking about it) the more I think it might be one of the better movies i've ever seen. I'm not saying it's my favorite, i'm not saying it's in my top 10 or even 15, but it's probably in the top 15% of movies i've ever seen.

I've heard paranormal activity is scarier after you see it and you think about it..then when you see it..heh..

I watched Seven Pounds last night. It's one sad movie, but it was really very well done. I have no idea why it got such bad reviews. Maybe because it was depressing, but it's one of those movies that really grabs you and it changed my perspective after seeing it. I thought about it all night, and woke up this morning thinking about it.

As far as the actors, Will Smith and Rosario Dawson had really great performances. Woody Harrelson was good also in a limited role. It's a movie I had to rate 9 on IMDB

Finally saw District 9. Very good sci-fi movie. Could definitely tell that there were political overtones. I liked the ambiguous ending---some may hate it. It is begging for a sequal...they should have just let the closing shot say "to be continued" ala back to the future

BTW, I finally was able to see Inglorious Basterds. Wonderful movie. Torentino can totally captivate you with such a simple scene of all dialogue. How he can spin comedy from darkness is genius. I could go on and on about this film.

I must say however, when they do the Pete Carroll story, Christoph Waltz (Colonel Landa) is a dead ringer.

Princess - Adult themed, Danish animated movie about a missionary who takes care of his niece after her porn queen mother dies from drug abuse. It turns into a revenge movie when he decides that all material featuring his sister as a porn star should be destroyed, although it is a little more than your typical revenge flick. The animation is crude but after watching, it really fits with the story. Their are also live action bits interwoven in the form old vhs recordings and it works really really well.

If that little synopsis doesn't let you know, this is really really not for kids, so if you decide to watch, make sure you don't have any around. There's a lot of violence and sexually suggestive imagery and flat out disturbing scenes. I thought the movie was really well done. It's available for instant streaming on Netflix for anyone interested.

Invention of Lying - smart movie, really enjoyed it, Rick Gervais (sp?) does an incredible job, and there are some pretty solid cameos. Jennifer Gardner (Afleck?) is still gorgeous as ever.

Ghost in the Shell the movie. Outstanding. I thought the show was good but the movie was way better and I have watched it a few times since and can't get enough of how well written the story was in terms of the main characters paranoid feeling of not being human.

City of Men. Not as great as city of god but just as entertaining. It is a continuation of the show city of men which I did not see but was told it is also good. Definitely a good movie.

Trick R Treat-Disappointing after I've heard so many good reviews on this. I thought it sucked and was confused most of the movie. The only good thing was the werewolf scene in the forest.

Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal

I kind of jumped in on this when my mom started this up on the DVR. I have no real opinion on it, other than this is more of a movie made for TV. And, if most accounts of these girls' personalities are real, they are indeed true bitches.

I had no idea cheerleading was so popular in this central-southern states.

You should watch the second movie, GitS 2: Innocence. A movie on par with the first, though not a true sequel as it only references the end of the first movie. Another real movie questioning morality and what makes us human.

The Final Destination: The worst of the entire series. Not only was the acting sub-par which truthfully I wasn't expecting much from any way, it was bad. The story was even worst.

The deaths were over the top and anticlimactic. Too many decapitations. Not sure if its because it was meant to be in 3D and i was watching it in regular 2D, but the special effects were horrible. They looked like something straight out of a SC-FI channel movie; very low budget.

I'm a fan of the series because they think of clever ways to kill people, but this one was really bad, nothing special about it at all
