Saw "Adam" yesterday. Great movie about a dude with Aspherger's Syndrome and how he tries to deal with it, and a great performance by the hot Rose Byrne. A must watch.Comment

Marley & Me.
Quality movie. Going in I knew the ending for the most part. The movie does a good job portraying how dogs become a part of your family. If you don't know the ending...don't read the spoiler..
SpoilerThe part that gets me the most is the oldest son(who is about 7 I guess)when he starts crying watching old home movies with Marley in them. That's one of the saddest scenes I've watched in a while. The actual scene of Marley passing didn't get to me but the kid crying did. Very well done scene.
SpoilerI cried like a ***** during that movie. But, I love my dog's so, I think that's ok.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Saw Night at the Museum 2 last night. It was cute, the wife and kids loved it.

I thought the movie was just ok as well. Maybe I'm just not a SH fan, but the story was not interesting to me one bit.Comment

Million Dollar Baby-Finally got around to seeing this 5 plus years later. Great movie all around. Clint Eastwood and Freeman were great as always. And it was nice seeing Papa Doc get knocked out.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

I forgot to add that I saw Up In The Air the same day I saw Sherlock Holmes and that was a really good movie.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Paranormal Activity - Awesome movie. Not really all that scary (unless you're terrified of really, really loud noises), just fascinating. Watching whatever the hell it is torture that couple into being terrified of it as well as driving the couple further away from each other was one of the more interesting things i've seen all year. Great movie.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
Valkyrie
I watched half of it last night and was tired as ****, then watched the rest this morning all the meanwhile finding out the terrible grades I got this semester (I blame OS), so my focus was never 100% with the movie. Rest assured, I'll be watching it again; not to re-evaluate it, but simply to figure out what I had missed.
Overall it was a very solid film, and I'm glad that they were okay with taming this as much as possible (with gore and language, Americanizing it in with no heavy foreign accents and in the English language, and making the plot rather easy to follow). I don't know too many war stories so this was new to me, so I'm somewhat unaware if the things that went down were true to history. Though, Tom Cruise looked the part of Stauffenberg and played the role very seriously, as he cared for this project very seriously.
The tension reminded me a bit of Inglourious Basterds, only it wasn't as slowed down and it [again] was mostly all in English. I think I mostly have to re-watch it though for the very reason that I got lost with whom portrayed which person. There were too many old people on the screen and they all had foreign names, so I couldn't quite keep track of people's ranks and importance in the story (or I at least couldn't separate them).
I watched this at home without my surround setup, and even through normal TV speakers the dynamics were quite off the charts, some even downright strenuous. I'd like to check this out with my home theater setup and see what kind of sound it has to confirm its channel imbalance.
It was pretty good, though. Definitely one of my favorite Cruise films.
Paranormal Activity
Now, I've seen this movie before in theaters, but I thought I'd post here again anyway (now that I own it) and say that this movie was done really well, even with a small budget. I really hope this stands the test of time with some people that I show it to, especially when my little sister is old enough to see it so I can scare the crap out of her.
Now, about the two endings on the Blu-ray: the first one (theatrical) is quite Hollywood-ized and I wanted to see if they could really come through with the alternate ending, but IMO the unrated one just wasn't as climatic, despite my hopes for it. I'm still unsure which one I should be showing to first-time viewers, because both have their charms and their negatives (the alternate one starts up differently, even though it's mostly to show the same footage... I think the theatrical does the setup better).
Great movie, though. I just wish more people saw the movie how it was and accepted it, rather than falling into the hype machine or feeling like they have to compare it to The Blair Witch Project.Last edited by Blzer; 12-29-2009, 08:30 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I challenge anyone to watch Marley and Me and NOT cry. Our dog died early this year and I felt like I was watching a reenactment of that horrible experience. It felt like waterworks for at least a couple minutes, I couldn't contol myself! I really can't remember the last time that happened.Comment

I saw "It's complicated" yesterday. Pretty fun movie to watch. Alec Boldwin was great, even though I don't really like him, but he was really good on this one. It was a fun movie to watch on the last day of the holiday. This is a movie I'm gonna recommend my parents to watch, I think they're gonna enjoy it...whenever it'll be released in their area (probably in about 6-8 weeks). My Specs:

I still think it's a plenty scary movie, though. Was I afraid of it? No.
Is it elementally scary, and would my little sister **** her pants?
