Nosferatu is a German silent film and is the first vampire movie ever. You should check out Dracula. Bela Lugosi is what basically every vampire has been based on since his role. Plus its one of the best vampire movies, IMO.

The Fourth Kind.
Creepy as crap. Loved it. Awesome. Yes. Scary. Go Rent.
Spoiler
Loved how it was filmed too. Half actual footage, half actors/actress' portraying what happened and even some scenes where they would do a split screen. Crazy cool.

Beetlejuice - I don't think I have ever sat down and watched this all the way through. I've seen it on tv or something, but not on DVD/VHS. Anyway, Michael Keaton completely steals each and every scene he is in. He is amazing as Beetlejuice, just his flow from one "personality" to the next is so easily done its just fun to watch him work. Plus, its just weird realizing that that is Batman on screen. As for the rest of the film, everybody else was great as well. Winona was actually cute back in the day. And like all Tim Burton films, the feel of the film is somewhat nostalgic and creepy at the same time.

I seen this at the Watertower Theatre in Chicago when I was like 7 or 8 years old. It was a double feature, this came on 1st, then Police Academy came on afterwards.Comment

You can see my first impressions of the movie here. The issue is, at the time I saw the movie I thought the "real" footage was real too. That's what I meant about my previous post.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Same here, but I still thought the movie was badass after finding out. The chick that played the "real" doctor was really, really creepy.
SpoilerThe only thing that seemed out of place for me was the random scene of the drill going into Milla Jovovich's back. Completely out of place with the rest of the film's approach of a demonic possession type deal rather than your typical alien abduction story of kidnapping and probing.

Robin Hood - Sucked. One of the worse movies I see Russell Crowe acting in. Is there even any blood in this movie??? 4.5/10
How To Train A dragon - I watched it with my son. Fell asleep 15 minutes into the movie. My son says it's good so does my nephew and my little brother so I might have to watch it again.
The Predators - I expected it to suck hard but boy I was surprised. I might have to get this for blue ray. 8/10
Clash of the Titans - I remember how hyped this movie was before it was released on theatres. Eversince I never read any reviews so I finally watched it on DVD expecting an **** movie but sadly this movie sucked hard. That kid movie Percy Jackson "somethin somethin"??? was alot better than this crap. 4/10Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps
Pretty good movie! A little confusing though the way the Wall Street relevant info was thrown at you but it was still easy enough to follow. It's less the story of Gordon Gekko's redemption and more about the Shia LeBeuf character who's seeking revenge against the man who forced his mentor's suicide. Still, there was some good elements to the movie and I liked the major plot point.
SpoilerHow Gekko got Jake's trust and helped him bring down Bretton James but at the same time using said trust and access to money to screw Jake and his daughter over.
Unfortunately Oliver Stone didn't have the balls to carry through on that plot point, instead he turned it around and made a happy ending out of the movie. This was one film where a sad/unfair ending would've been best.
A few notes:
- Wow Eli Wallach! The guy's 94 years old and he's in the movie! He didn't do much but he had a good moment when he was talking about why the banks needed the bailout. Even at 94 years old the man can command attention.
- I was a little disappointed in how Gordon Gekko was portrayed. Yes, they showed how he changed but it was done through a long speech early in the movie and a lot of speechifying. He didn't really have much of a conversant tone like he did in the original. Still, despite this Michael Douglas did a great job with the role.
- The actress that played Gekko's daughter was very "meh" and I thought some of the angst that her character brought to the story dragged it down just a bit.
Overall, this isn't as good as the original due to several reasons and the ending is a huge one but it's still quite good. Stone does a helluva job directing the movie. It shows, that for whatever flaws he may have as a person the man is still a maestro behind the camera.

Predators --- Adrian Brody would not have been my first choice. Entertaining, but not worth owning unless you like the series imo.
Clash of the Titans --- disagree. It is what it is. Fantasy, a bit of horror. This is not a movie to be thinking during viewing. Just enjoy.
Also saw: Crazy Heart. Jeff Bridges does a stirring performance of a Waylon Jennings type character. Curious story line. Not sure about Collin Farrell being casted correctly for this film, but, eh.Comment

On paper, I was a little weary of Colin Farrel, but I thought he really pulled it off and he doesn't have a bad voice for country music either.
