Just finished Fanboys I liked it much more than I thought I would. Also, there was plenty of nice cameos from guys like Seth Rogan, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, etc. Plus, Kristen Bell

The Boondock Saints 1 and 2.

I caught it on Netflix a few days ago. It wasn't horrible, but it also wasn't that funny to me.

I finally saw Red a few days ago, awesome movie.

Yup. Slight catch that you have to go scene by scene but it's there.

The UK edition contains a hidden feature that allows the viewer to watch the film in chronological order. The Canadian version does not have this feature but the film chapters are set up to do this manually or through DVD programming. The original US release does not have the chronological feature nor are the chapters set up correctly to do it.

The film was later re-released in a limited edition DVD that features an audio commentary by Christopher Nolan, the original short story by Jonathan Nolan on which the film was based, and a Sundance Channel documentary on the making of the film. The limited edition DVD also contains a hidden feature that allows the viewer to watch the film in chronological order.
I watched Monsters this week. Pretty good, not as good as I expected it to be but still pretty good. Wonder what they could've done with an actual budget, very impressive for what they had to work with. There's a few really great scenes and some nice imagery/comments to get the point across without coming out and saying it. Caught off guard by the ending. There were 3 ways I thought it could go but it didn't turn out to be any of them. It was enjoyable overall.

On the negative side, there's a lot of bulid up with minimal (but good none the less) pay off. I think maybe they should've set it somewhere else so it could've done without the political undertone,it is of British origin so I'm not sure on intent. Finally I was hoping for the guy to get killed after 30 minutes. Better than the 30 seconds it took for wanting everyone in Cloverfield to get killed at least.

Do nnnoootttt expect grandiose battles and the such. It's not about that. If it were a videogame it'd be an adventure game, not EDF 2017.

Due Date. Much better than I expected. Was funny throughout. It didn't run into the same trouble that most comedies do: going back to the same joke or letting a joke going on to the point it's tiresome.

Not sure this would be a blu ray purchase, but I'd definitely watch again.

LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD: That's in all caps for a reason. Because it's a big movie, it's a loud movie, and it's an awesome movie. The best Die Hard since the first one, and frankly it's very, very close to being as good as that one. Olyphant was a fantastic villain. Better than Simon Gruber, better than whatever that dude in Die Hard 2's name was (Not on Hans's level, though). He was very believably evil, especially after McClain took out Maggie O. I also enjoyed Justin Long's presence. I thought he and McClain played off each other well for pretty much the whole movie. And then there's Bruce Willis as McClain setting a world record for badassery in this movie. The truck stuck in the elevator sequence, the semi truck vs. fighter jet sequence, and the last sequence, all memorable, all great. Especially that last sequence, that was tense as hell.

As far as pure action movies go, it's damn hard to do better than this.

I found the last Die Hard too cliche, too cheesy and too over-the-top in everything it tried to do. It looked like something that came out of Michael Bay's bag of tricks.

                    A for the good action

F for being a lousy movie

                    C overall, highly forgettable

Buried: Dear sweet mother of God my heart's still racing and it ended 15 minutes ago.

Just... wow. I'm not sure I have the desire to ever see it again because the claustrophobia I didn't think I had was kicking in, but damn. I had no idea a movie about a dude stuck in a box could be so damn thrilling.

Haha I never would have thought of something like that (though I did try and think of an anagram for Conroy if it would have ended up mattering for the movie in some way, but to no avail). I guess it truly is open for more discussion than I first thought lol.
I just read something about that scene on the IMDB board that intrigued me. Figured I'd pass it along:

I agree. Hands down one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

And, as for Buckeye's question of why: It does the same exact things as the first one, only 300 times worse. It has the same type of set ups for each scene, the same kind of moments and pretty much the same exact structure of the first one, but every single thing fell short. None of the interaction between the brothers was anywhere near the level of the first one, the entire feeling of the first one was butchered. Not to mention Julie Benz delivered what was without a doubt one of the worst attempts at a serious performance I have ever seen.

After how long, and all of the ups and downs, it took to finally make this movie, it was ****ing terrible. The action scenes were no where near as well done as the first, the acting was fifteen times below the first, and the aforementioned addition of Julie Benz was ridiculously bad. It doesn't help that she was trying to follow up one of my favorite performances in any movie by Willem Dafoe in the first one, but still, I felt embarrassed for her while watching it.
